Snitchseeker is broken and I am bored! 3 o'clock cannot come fast enough. Work is so dreadfully boring, and with SS down I really don't have much to do. And this stupid chair I sit in makes my back hurt. [/bitching]

I am so excited for this weekend! Friday night I am going to see Wanted with some friends, holler. It looks awesome and James McAvoy is ~~freaking sexy~~ fantastic! Then Saturday afternoon I am going to Kansas City to visit my friend and going out and staying the night. Jordie, Laura, and I are going so it should be a really good time!

My sister and her family just got back from Europe and they brought back sweet gifts! I now am the proud owner of 2 Manchester United jersey's ( Rooney and Ronaldo) and a Man U champions t-shirt. They are bitchin' and I am so excited to wear them! Also my niece, while in Italy, got her picture take with four hot, and i mean HOT, Italian boys!! Her friend had the guts to go ask them, and boy I am glad she did!! They were all hot, but it feels weird saying that since they were probably many years younger than me.

And I have seen many of you do this before so I am going to copy :] I need some good book suggestions, I am bored and have nothing to read! And I cannot wait until August for Breaking Dawn, I need a good book now! So please help me?!?

    So I don't know if any of you have heard but yes, a Tornado did hit Manhattan, Kansas last night. Thankfully no one was hurt but it did cause a lot of damage. And if my roommates and I would not have moved... well lets just say we would not have a place to stay. They made everyone get out of our old apartment complex!

    They said that this caused more than $20 million worth of damage on the K-state campus. A town not far had a much worse tornado and at least one death. Me and my roommates were in a basement bathroom with pillows and blankets watching the TV. The house was only about 7 blocks away from the Kansas State campus, SCARY!! It was hard trying to stay calm but it seem to be over quickly. Then we all went driving around to see the damage just like the rest of the town. It was creepy and just a mess of tree branches and debris everywhere!

    But its all good, no one got hurt. Lets just hope it doesn't repeat again tonight!!

Star's act of Kindness touches youth

Kansas State freshman Michael Beasley has established himself head-and-shoulders above the competition, but a recent act of kindness by the high riser with a down-to-earth personality brightened an otherwise difficult day for an 11-year-old boy. And of all the fans at Bramlage Coliseum during a women's basketball game on Jan. 19, nobody told Beasley that Blade Winter likely needed the lift most of all.

"For that to happen, it was really cool," said Trent Winter, Blade's father. "It was pretty incredible."

Blade has leukemia. And although it is currently in remission and it has been nearly four months since his last chemotherapy treatment, he still suffers aches and pains much greater than any basketball player could experience after a two-point loss. Originally diagnosed with leukemia in 1999 when he was three years old, Blade appeared to be on the road to recovery after three and a half years of treatment. Then he relapsed in June 2005. His latest 27-month bout with chemotherapy ended last October.

Kansas State freshman Michael Beasley's act of kindness toward a young man turned out to turn a bad day into a special one for Blade Winter, an 11-year-old from Clifton, Kan., who is suffering from leukemia.

Navigating the arena stairs hurts, but the blond-hair, blue-eyed native of Clifton, Kan., is too "macho," according to his father, to ask anybody to carry him to the family's seats in the southeast side of Bramlage at home basketball games.

Such was the case during the Kansas State-Colorado women's contest. And during halftime, a determined Blade made his way to third-cousin Zach Winter, a 22-year-old junior at K-State, who stood in the front row near midcourt dressed in a referee's polo shirt. Blade hoped to get a better view of the halftime performance that featured the Kansas City-based Marching Cobras.

"Blade knew he could get down low beside Zach, or that he usually can," Trent said.

Problem was, Blade had no where to sit.

"Blade was just hanging out near the aisle next to Zach," Trent said. "I think he was leaning on the railing when during one of (the arena usher's) routine trips up and down the stairs they told him he was going to need to find a seat or go back up (to his own seat)."

That's when a familiar face turned around in his courtside seat and intervened.

Beasley informed the usher, "Oh, he's just going to hang with me."

The 6-foot-10, 235-pound Beasley lifted the 4-foot-2 Blade over the railing and plopped him in the padded chair beside him, where Blade found himself also sitting feet away from some of Beasley's teammates -- Dominique Sutton, James Franklin and Jamar Samuels.

"He was sitting on the steps and didn't have a seat," Beasley said. "Security told him he had to find a seat. I didn't want him to have to walk all the way up stairs. I mean, he was sitting with his cousin and he was obviously having fun, so I had to tell the guy he was with me."

Beasley wasn't aware of Blade's illness.

"It was pretty touching," Zach said. "It was good to see an athlete like that step up and be a role model beyond the court."

"We see some of those kinds of (acts) because of Blade's situation, but there was no way Mike would've known that," Trent said. "When Mike did that, he did that for a kid, not for a kid with leukemia. That makes it even cooler. He just did it."

Blade had no trouble seeing the halftime show or the second half of the basketball game. Upon spotting Blade sitting beside Beasley, children flooded the railing for Beasley's autograph. Beasley and his teammates also signed a t-shirt for their new friend.

"He was pretty ecstatic," Beasley said. "He was just loving it. The smile didn't come off his face all game."

It had been a tough day for Blade, who arrived in Manhattan with his mother, Connie, and 16-year-old brother, Barrett, earlier and watched Beasley and the Wildcats play from a local restaurant.

"He felt lousy that day, so in the second half of the men's game, Connie drove around and he just slept in the pickup," Trent said. "But we were going to meet for the women's game, and although he was feeling crummy, he was able to get some sleep and wanted to go ahead to the game.

"It's kind of week to week whether we make it (to a game) or not."

Just as Beasley and his teammates battle, Blade does, too. In a different way.

"His major issues right now are physical therapy problems that have come about through years of chemo and surgeries," Trent said. "During that second go-around (with chemotherapy) he had a stretch where he had 11 or 12 surgeries in a couple months. He had some infections and they had to take a little bit of his lung. It snowballed for a while."

The Winters travel frequently to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. On Wednesday, Blade had three appointments there, including an orthopedic appointment, and the family didn't arrive home until late that night.

"The chemo never let him grow like he should have, so he's trying to get his feet straightened up and get strength back," Trent said. "He's come a long way in the last six months. Technically, he's got two fractures in his pelvis right now after he fell. It's one of those deals where you're just careful and let it heal. There's nothing (doctors) can do. That's some of the pain."

Because of Beasley's kind gesture, though, Blade is smiling more these days.

"He told me, 'This is the coolest day ever,'" Trent said. "Three hours before the game, he was miserable."

At a time when superstars are often seen as untouchable, the 18-year-old Beasley said he has no problem staying grounded.

"I have good people around me," Beasley said. "My mom, my pops, coaches and teammates help me stay grounded. They would all get mad if I got a big head and I don't ever want anybody to get mad at me."

So instead, he gave a young fan a day that he'll never forget.

Heath was one of my favorite actors and I've pretty much been in love with him since the 7th grade. I keep thinking is some mistake and he isn't really dead. His A Knight's Tale poster is still on my bedroom door at my parents house! It so hard to know how to feel about this, on one hand I never knew the guy and on the other I have seen almost all of his movies and been a fan for years. So it feels odd being sad about someone you never knew but I still am.

He was an amazing actor who had an incredible smile, he will be missed.

Former Kansas State football coach and an incredible football genius!
If not for this man, Kansas State University probably wouldn't have a football program and the student body size it does today.
In 1989 Bill took over and said this was an opportunity to be the biggest turn around in college football history. and by 1998, we were the #1 team in the nation
Sadly he was never able to with the national title. but he will forever be a God in this state (most of it, screw lawrence!)
I cannot imagine what i would say to him if i ran into him. Probably Thank you. I was at his last game and tears nearly fell.
I cannot say enough about him! We owe him so much!
I could talk all day about him, but unless you are a K-state fan you have no idea how much he means to me!

6. Azzurri

The Saints are so amazing me and my best mate dressed up as them last year for Halloween, we were a hit!!

So guess where I am? Yep, stuck in the library for 3 hours waiting for my next class. I wouldn't be in the library at all but my boss is gone all this week and didn't leave any work for me to do. i am a pissed about it because now my paycheck will be tiny. Some would think that you could entertain yourself on the internet for 3 hours but i disagree. I am so bored, I've facebook-ed, I've livejournal-ed, I've checked my Fantasy Football teams over and over, I've even snitchseeker-ed.. but alas it is not longer fun because i do not know anyone in the chat anymore :/ I know its my fault for not going there for like 6months.

Earlier i saw a guy who looked like Nikolay Davydenko. LOL! it made my day a bit brighter.

I have an appointment with my new Psych adviser today... and i haven't heard anything good about him. granted nothing bad either but by the looks on peoples faces when i say who it is... i don't think its going to go well. I have tried reading my DARS report (that tells me what class i've taken and what i need to take etc.) but i don't know if i am reading it right and i don't know if he is going to tell me what classes to take. hopefully not hard ones. But its at 3, smart me scheduled it during one of my other classes, so i'll have to get up and leave! haha, and its a small class, i hope the teacher doesn't say anything to me. i'll just pretend not to feel well or something :P

Also tonight i am going to watch the K-state Jazz Band play. I have to go to 5 musical preformances for one of my classes, which is a ball of fun. :l I went to a preformance by a Sitar player on Monday night. I left at the intermission although we are supposed to stay to the end, hopefully my teacher doesn't find out. IT WAS THREE HOURS LONG!!! i didn't know it was supposed to last that long or i would not have gone!! it was pretty cool to begin with but then it got old and boring! i just kept thinking of Moulin Rouge and the penniless sitar player! :)

I am really bummed that the Indians couldn't make it to the world series even though they had a 3-1 lead. Damn Red Sox, i am sick of them. i really hope the Rockies sweep them, although it probably will not happen. Home football game this weekend! YAY! and it should be an easy win. and it better be a BIG win, i am still sad about last weeks loss. Last second field goals suck! hard! without sports, i would go crazy even if they make me crazy alot of the time. :)

Hockey's back! *dances* After the dismal showings last weekend of my favorite football teams it is nice to have another sport to look to!! Buffalo kicked ass last night which was good to see after they lost their first two games. Ales Kotalik (my new favorite Sabre) scored on his first shift last night 3 minutes in the game!!! He was hurt for the first 2 games, but now he's back with a goal and assist in one night! I forgot how much I loved it, its such a rush to watch it. I really wish I could have had the chance to play it, I think it would have been awesome!

I am also being forced into watching baseball (thanks Tara). And I believe I want Cleveland to win, mainly because Grady Sizemore is a sexy sexy man, and if I have to watch baseball, I'd like to have to watch him. :)

I had a test this morning which I was freaking out about last night. I think I did rather well on it, and I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. Hopefully a high B *crosses fingers* I really really hate the class and I have to have it to graduate and you have to pass it with at least a C. If I had to retake the class I would probably cry for a month. Other than that my classes are going good, they are all fairly easy. I have 3 tests next week! I could start studying but I have a busy weekend planned :]

Tonight is the "Madness in Manhattan" for the basketball teams and it starts at 10:30pm! I am pretty darn excited for it, the men's team has some ridiculous talent!!! Bill Walker! MICHAEL BEASELY!!! bitches please, we better kick some major ass!! :P Then tomorrow night at 8pm is the football game vs. Colorado. I swear, K-state best pull their heads out of their asses where they stored them last weekend. I will be so pissed if we lose!! We have some great players and they need to start playing consistantly!

I think the Grey's Anatomy writers need to step it up, the first 2 episodes have kind of bored me. McSteamy is still sexy as ever, and I loved how the old ~~rude~~ Alex reappeared last night!! :) I don't want to discuss George and Izzie right now... I liked it so much better when they were just friends. Its weird now. And I feel bad for Callie. And if any of you watch Survivor, Eric is HOT!!! He is one of the only reasons I continue to watch, the other... Tara has the remote.

Me and Ashley had started our Halloween outfits. We are going as the wonderful German due if Schweinski! Lukas Podolski and Bastian Schweinsteiger... we are going to look goooood! :D I would looove to show them too you but my camera is officially broken, I'll have to find another way.

JORDY NELSON is my homeboy!!!!!! My KANSAS STATE WILDCATS took care of business versus the (overrated) #7 (at the time) Texas Longhorns (yes, the same team we beat last year) !!! 41- 21!!!! Now K-state is rightfully back in the top 25 in the country, i could cry i am so happy!!! And now its the instate Kansas Jayhawks (who i hate more than anything in this whole wide world). So i am so excited for the weekend

K-State FOUR interceptions!! It was such an awesome game, i was cheering like crazy watching it on TV. Jordy Nelson had over 200 yards himself!! and he was a walk-on from a town really close to here, a good ol' Kansas boy! I wanted to go there soo bad for like 2 weeks, but it didn't turn out!

Hey everyone!

Its been weeks since my last post, sorry about that. Classes started and one class was really stressing me out for awhile there. Its my Experimental Methods in Psychology class that we have to have to graduate or take upper level Psych classes. In it we have to conduct this huge research idea and it has to be original and not controversial so it was extremely hard to pick an idea. But I've got a pretty solid one I think, the head professor came to lab yesterday to listen to our presentations about our idea. He seemed to not having any problems with mine, thank God!

First home FOOTBALL game tomorrow!!!! I am so pumped for it. Although we lost our first game vs. Auburn I think we played very well!! I cannot wait to hear the marching band and sing the fight song and watch my team run out of the locker room with smoke carrying an American and Kansas Flag!! And I think its Fort Riley night, so a ton of the soldiers will be there. Its always cool to see all of them, and they'll fly Black Hawk helicopters over the stadium, it is so sweet. I always get goosebumps!

So it was sad to see Andy lose again to Roger but I have to say it was probably one of the best matches I've seen Andy play. It sucks because I want him to win so bad just to shut up all the haters and the Fed lovers!! Seriously could the announcers talk anymore about him, I don't think so! Every Fed match, he is ALL they ever talk about. Yeah, we watch tennis guys, we've seen what he can do, I don't like being reminded of how many times he's beaten my favorite player! But now its time for Davis Cup!!! I don't want to be over confident but I don't think Sweden stands a chance against our boys! :)

I don't know much else. I am just sitting in the library for 2 hours while I wait for my east pointless Short Stories class. I wouldn't go but one girl asked me to take notes for her today. :/ I have another 30 minutes before I even have to leave here to get to my class. Hopefully it will be a short class, the teacher is really easy so he lets us out early at times!

Tara, Kari (one of our roommates), and I ate Taco Bell today. It is so good! [/random]

I just want to say sorry for not commenting on anyones posts lately. I've been reading & on vacation. I'll update more about those later, I just have 2 things to say.

1. Deathly Hallows rocked my world. I've never shed so many tears while reading.

-The end is so close now, its scary to think about!!! I want Deathly Hallows so bad but... I don't want it to end!!
-So Vacation is next week!!! INDY here I come!!! I am so excited for my first pro tennis tournament!!!
- I finished New Moon this weekend and loved it! Although I was pretty proud of myself for calling some of the things that happened. August 7th can't come fast enough
- Classes start Aug. 20th. I am not ready to start again. I cannot believe its my third year already! Time flies when you're having a helluva time! :)
- Moving day is July 31st (Happy Birthday Harry!!) I cannot wait to move into our new place, I'll have to take pictures for you all!

AH!! OotP TONIGHT!!!! I have to try and not think about it or I will get too excited and explode!! I am going with my friend Maddie who actually got me into Harry Potter and he younger brother little Mitchy! Haha! its going to be fun!

Yesterday I had the day off but I helped my sister paint her store then went swimming at her house with three 14 year olds, Laura (my oldest neice), Valarie, and Kayla and my 9 year old neice, Rachael. And of course, I wasn't out there for 3 hours and i am burnt :( My arms and shoulders are killing me today. I am pretty sure the sun hates me. And yes, I did put sun block on!

Then the family had plans for the night so I just hung out at there house and watched a movie. It was called Real Women Have Curves, but it was a Clean Flicks version where they take out all the bad words and so forth so it is suitable for kids, and it totally ruined the movie. I got done and did not understand it at all.

They all got back at like 10:30 and I jokingly suggested we get back in the pool. Well Kayla and Val wanted too so they all got ready to go. Before they got in they wanted me to turn my car lights on so they could see, and I said it would be more fun if they couldn't see. And when I went out it was like pitch black but it looked like fun so I jumped in with them, I actually had to go first or else they wouldn't! It was so much fun in the dark but Racheal kept freaking out and thinking she heard something groaning or growling, she is such a drama queen. So we played 45 minutes of Marco Polo in the dark!

Now I am at work, bored as usual but counting down until midnight!!!! :]
