It’s almost dark. It’s that time where everything seems faded and dim, and everything looks bleak, just before the darkness closes in. It’s a time between times, not really with anything to call it’s own, or any purpose, when silence is magnified and suffocates even those who welcome it. But she feels at home here, the way nothing seems to fit together, or belong, is strangely comforting. She can relate.
She sits alone in the dwindling light, eyes transfixed on the flat computer screen, a night like so many nights before. She’s typing, in windings, for fear of being disturbed – this way she can keep her eyes on the keyboard. What appears on the screen depends; depends on where her fingers guide her. It’s affected by many things; how she feels, what the day is, the music currently playing… It could be a few paragraphs about this ‘she’ person, who tends to appear randomly. ‘She’ could be the girl at the computer, it could be someone she knows, someone she’s observed, or just an invention in her overcrowded mind. What ‘she’ is doing could be written from experience, or just inspired by experience, or from pure imagination. It doesn’t particularly matter, and she doesn’t really know where imagination ends and reality begins... but that's not important.
Another thing appearing on the screen could be fan fiction. Slash would be a good bet, too - Some people may not like this, but then she doesn’t give a flying fuck. If people don’t like it, they shouldn’t be reading here. Maybe one day she'll branch out into poetry, even a song or two; who knows?

Some may say she’s wasting her life away at the computer. But nowadays, her life is the computer, and she has no desire to change it - want to know more?
