these are old, but i just thought i'd finally share.  my bestest friends and i got these tats in august, the day before my wedding.  the vase is symbolic of a game we all play ("the vase game") and the words sort of describe us, or at least what we aspire to be.  there's a fourth girl, and she ended up getting a different tat.  as you can see, we all opted for different locales on the body.

here we are.  thought ya'll might appreciate the homage to our girl ani.

So did anyone hear Adam on NPR this morning? He was on "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" and discussing the tarp-and-plane myth that they did recently.

OMG I just saw Adam and Jamie on CSI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you think Craig's soundboard is broken?  I've realized he hasn't used it barely at all lately.  Or maybe, I'm just used to him using it every day?  o.O
I know he joked about getting rid of it last night because it took up too much electricity (or "electric-ness," as he calls it), but do you think it's actually broken/gone?
Or, maybe I'm paranoid and he's just forgotten to use it lately.  Anyone know?

Craig's birthday is coming up, each of us should send an email, with the name being "our group's name" What do you think????

I had an mp3 of Ani performing Serpentine live before it was released on Evolve. I lost the mp3 and I'm really missing it. Serpentine is best live, imo. I don't know what show it was, so I'm looking for any live mp3  (of decent sound quality) of Serpentine pre-Evolve. I would really appreciate it! Thanks.

Craig Ferguson set to pen memoirs

HarperCollins to publish 'Purpose' in fall 2009

Latenight talker Craig Ferguson is taking his act to the page.

Ferguson has inked a deal with HarperCollins to write his memoirs. "American on Purpose" is set to be published in fall 2009.

Book will follow Ferguson's journey from a small town in Scotland to the U.S., with stops along the way as a punk rocker, a dancer, a bouncer and a construction worker. Host will also elaborate on his battles with drugs and alcohol -- addictions he's frequently discussed on "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" -- and his suicide attempts.

Ferguson cleaned up and eventually landed a role on "The Drew Carey Show," which led to his gig on the "Late Late Show" (which he's hosted for more than three years).

The host has been on a roll recently, garnering headlines for his decision to become a U.S. citizen and his recent perf as host of the White House Correspondents Dinner. Last month, a week of original "Late Late Show" episodes beat rival "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" among total viewers for the first time ever.

Ferguson said the book will focus on "how and why I became an American."

"(I) hope that it will inspire other alcoholic punk rock drummers from Scotland to find their true place in U.S. latenight television," Ferguson said. "I wanted to get the story down before I get so old I forget it and start believing the crap on Wikipedia."

Harper senior VP-executive editor David Hirshey is aboard to edit the book; HarperCollins retains world English and audio rights.

" 'American on Purpose' reads as if Ferguson had snorted 'Angela's Ashes,' " Hirshey said.

Hi everyone!  A week or two ago, I was deeply entrenched in watching any and all of Craig's "Show and Tell" monologue clips on Youtube that I could, but stupidly did not bookmark all of the ones I really liked - a certain one in particular, and now, for the life of me, I can't find it again.  The one I'm looking for is a clip where Craig is talking about the differences between cats and dogs - in the beginning of the clip, he talks about his pet gold fish and how it grew so big at the end of its life that people were stopping by to take pictures with it.  He started talking about how he likes dogs much better than cats - about if someone breaks in, a dog would bark and say "Get out of here!" but a cat would say "All the stuff is over here..." and that if you die alone in the house, "that cat will eat you!"  Does anyone have any idea what video I'm talking about?  It's so fantastic and I've been scouring Youtube trying to find it again, but it is eluding me with great skill.  If anyone could help me find it, I would really appreciate it!

Life is such bullshit. I wish i was in high school again. When i was stressed about redundant tests and pointless learning. Maybe i should have stayed in real high school, and not gone to the Co op. But then.. i don't know, i'd be entirely different, or i'd like to think i would be. I probably wouldn't smoke so much damn pot. However, i'd rather smoke pot than be popping pills like my generation.

Gas is too expensive. Life is too expensive. Everything costs so much money, that i don't have. I'm in debt to my parents and my girlfriend. I'll always be in debt to my parents. It's sad that i have to live off their money.. i'm fortunate to have parents with good paying jobs.

College is a scam. You have to borrow money to go, and while going, it still costs money. More and more and more money. All the time. I bought my three books for $310, i sold them back for $101. I've got a debt to some bank i don't even know for like.. $2,000. Fortunately i didn't go to a more expensive school. But then again, if i did, maybe i'd be happier with my education.. Who the fuck knows..

Perhaps i should have kept my 30 hrs a week, wake up at the crack of dawn for an oil company. $200 paychecks were great, for the three i managed to get. Even though they fucking ripped me off on the full week of work i was there. Probably taxes. Taxes are a scam.

How the fuck can this country revolve around money that isn't backed by anything. It's worthless. How long until everyone is fucked? I feel like i should get rid of my cell phone to save money. I feel like i should sell my car, and buy a bicycle. Take the bus. Everywhere. But i don't know where the fuck i can go, because everything is scheduled, and even though buses are scheduled, they are really never on time.

I feel pretty pathetic today.
And i have to spend more and more money.
Today. I'm paying Linda back some amount.
I have to put gas in my car to get to Minneapolis.
And i probably have to pay for parking.
Oh yes, what a great fucking feeling.

I need a better job. Maybe i could start answering phones at the Shed. Or hosting. Both jobs pay $9 an hour. But i really don't like the Shed enough.. to be there.. all the time.

I love how many regrets i have.
What a wonderful feeling.

I'm done with my math class.
I have a late assignment to turn into my Intro to Prof. Photo on Monday.
I have a final print to go and get for my Design Class.. even though i don't really like any of the 36 frames i shot.
And i must go buy more photo paper, and mounting board...
For my black and white class that i nearly gave up on and i'm trying to finish, REAL QUICK..

Why do professors have to SUCK?!
Why does the world have to be so sad?..

Fuck.
