If I were to say things were going well...I'd be lying my ass off. At least they are going better than yesterday. I did meet a cool guitar shop owner who's a big Ani fan, so I talked with him for hours at his shop yesterday. I also might have a room to rent starting next week which would rock the house! It's a tiny room but I think I could manage. I'm going to look at another place later on this afternoon and hopefully hear a call back about yet another room to rent later on today as well (the one I really want with free internet and cable included...a girl's wet dream I'll tell ya).
The pecular rash on my arm seems to be going away, but I still want to see a doctor about it. I just need the PRC to send me my health card dammit.
Montana is pretty. I miss my guitar so much and I won't get if for a while yet. I could have written a whole album about my first week and 1/2 here. I've been listening to Talk to me Now a lot becuase it reminds me so much of my own experience moving to such a different landscape and trying to figure out where I can carve my niche in it.
We'll see. I find myself less inspired to write and more inspired to listen to others these days. Maybe that's because I now live in a community where people play music and were local bands have a celebrity status in town. It's really cool. Even the homeless guys on the street play rockin' acoustic guitar...and I've already made friends with this one guy named Jon. I heard him doing a cover of Hamell's "Hail" when I was walking to work yesterday and I stopped and talked with him. He was impressed about the story of the time I met Hamell on Trial...and I bought him lunch (which from the looks of it, neither he nor his dog had any food in a few days). He's 22 and he prefers living from couch to couch or alley to alley because the city provides him with just enough (his words, not mine). Maybe someday I'll help him find a steadier job (he works sometimes on construction during the summer when they need extra people).
Anyway, I should go eat lunch now. I'm starving.
Later friends!
