NON-STYLE!!!!! おめでとう!!!!!!
Tonight was the annual M-1 Grand Prix (Manzai 1) which is basically a very famous comedy battle in Japan and this year.. the competition was quite tough!! From the beginning after hearing who would get to go to the finals, I was pretty much torn up since out of the 8 duos that were sure to go, I really like about 5 of them.
And what a competition that was!! I do admit from the beginning I was partitally rooting mainly for NON-STYLE and was almost crying by the end when they actually won!! They trully demonstrated great manzai today... even though they need to improve their free-talk skills! XD (笑)
ナイツwas also quite interesting but missed a little something.. and then Oodori also had a great neta for once. I only ever seen them do short versions of their neta so I was quite surprised to see they could fill a full 4 minutes well. Still I totally agree that NON-STYLE just totally won this hands down! ^_^

Here ends my M-1 review, now on to my life recently.
Most of my close friends around here already know that my health has been suffering a lot this year, most of it due to stress from work overaccumulating in the past year. I have seriously been working my ass off a LOT this year, working overtime pretty much everyday even if I am NOT supposed to according to my company, even though I really didn't have much other choice considering all the work and responsabilities they give me. I work for 3 different departments of the same huge freaking company that makes, outside of teaching classes, Doraemon and Pokemon notefully. Yes.. I work for Doraemon and Pikachu! Just in another division of the company which touches more the educational aspects.
So yeah, work has been extremely busy since I have a full schedule of classes everyday, plus extra work in having to create teaching manuals and materials, I also have to record stuff for the internet page so that parents can use daily sentences with their kids at home, (which mind you they often have me record COMPLETELY weird English sentences because the person who writes them is from Singapore and seriously makes a LOT of English mistakes but since it's already printed in the book this way, I have no choice but to say it that way.... REALLY sucks) I also have to create craft ideas (large scale) for 3 different programs in other schools than the one I work at, plus I have to create English curricula for 4 schools now... on top of teaching! Yeah madly busy..
Which resulted in well... stomach ulcer, severe headaches, bladder infection, hernia and MANY MANY more problems this year. I cannot start telling everyone how much I cannot wait for this year to be finished. At least my back is starting to feel much better, making it easier to walk around daily.. the only thing I am not lookign forward to is the plane ride back home.
********************
I mention a plane ride back home since in two days from now (Tuesday) I will be flying out of Narita for 2 weeks, taking a well deserved vacation with my family. Although my sister will be out of the country during those two weeks, going to Vietnam. Actually our planes should pretty much cross each other on the West coast of America.
Christmas will not really be celebrated this year, as too many things have happened this year, including my grandpa passing away at the beginning of the year and well.. many other things. I will however get to see my family and we will most likely play Wii Fit! (hehe) I already have mini-tournaments here in Japan with friends once in awhile, it's gonna be quite fun.
I'm also bringing a lot of things from here to be able to cook for my parents back home. The first thing I bought was rice... because any rice other than Japanese one is a big NO in my dictionary now. Seriously there's nothing more delicious than Japanese rice... plus since I want to make good riceballs, that's the way to go.
I plan on spending most of my time with my family but I will try and make some room for friends since I really only met 1 firend last year for a quick hour. I cannot promess anything, but at least maybe a diner together or something might be nice. (hints her friends from Saguenay-Lac St-Jean)
Other than that, I guess that' sreally most of what up with me right now. Been to a lot of concerts, events, stage plays, musicals this year but I really don't have the energy to update on this now. Maybe next year?! Since I will be, right from the begining of the year, attending 3 concerts of the same group! XD HAHAHA what can I say.. they are that entertaining! ^_~
On this I bid you all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Be careful on the road and avoid drinking too much!
