animal conservation [03 Oct 2008|01:09am] jennitalia I love animals so much. A large part of me believes that there should have never been industrialization and development that lead as far as where we are now, in any country on any continent. And also that none of these continents should have been colonized by foreigners. Why? I know that I wouldn't even exist, but just look at all the wild life populations that have been rapidly declining all over. Specifically, large cats that are more frequently coming into contact with humans because of development. Thus leading people to kill these animals and then further killing off their populations. I know that a lot of these predators will hunt the herds of animals that reside on farms and all, but animals will be animals. It's a survival instinct, and what the fuck do these people think will happen when they expand further out into lands these animals have lived on for fucking centuries? Even in the case of an animal killing a human being. I can't ever blame an animal for doing what is inherently natural to it. As humans, it is our responsibility to take care of every animal in the world, prey AND predator. But I read all these articles and watch all these shows about harmful ramifications that have been caused by humans - i.e. the declining population of so many animals, which too often is the result of a loss of habitat, and it really hits the heart, breaks the heart. Furthermore, it pisses me off thinking about all these people who are completely wasting their intelligence on bullshit. There are so many highly intelligent people out there, so why hasn't anyone come up with a more efficient way to co-exist with wild life? Or is it impossible and we're just all going to eradicate each wild life population one by one until we've depleted our earth of what once was? Granted, there are a plethora of people using their brains to do great things, and many of them who do work in wild life conservation. Hearts go out to those people. However, it's the other population of educated people who get into professions because of the big money involved and not the cause involved that really make me want to shank somebody. fin. 4 Burned % Enter/the/chamber
