Just saw that minami have finally sorted their website out (kinda) and reg's will be up on the 20th

I for one will be loser conning it, seeing as i live about 15 minutes away on a £2 train fare :P

Also noticed that the dates are 27th-29th March - a month later than last year. This is actually a lot better for me seeing as my dissertation hand in is the friday of minami ¬_¬ If it had been in february like last year i'd have had 2 assignments, 1 exam and oh, one dissertation to do afterwards - not making for a fun weekend XD now i can enjoy myself with no worries.

Trying to get on with my assignments at the moment, anyone who has ever dealt with Rflective Pactice before will know how difficult it is for me to be motivated right now ;v_v

Well, I thought I would post this up here, because the subject of this entry was quite a big part of my life over the last few years. This subject being:

Cosplay.

The thing is, I am not cosplaying anymore. Firstly I know I had arranged to do something next year with takuropop and I want to apologise for not doing this in the end, but I know you will understand.

I feel I have done what I wanted to do with this hobby. I met some good people, won some awards, went to Paris and one of the biggest things was winning the FFXII comp to represent Square Enix. I felt though, as time went on I was doing costumes out of habit, because a con was turning up, I felt pressured and started not to enjoy it as much. So last year I took a bit of a break. I arranged to do a costume with Nia, and make Elena with Kat. I even brought everything to make Tio from Grandia II for an Expo. But I realised the bigger picture in my life during this break, I have a big things happening with Chris, which makes the whole con scene have little significance. I enjoyed it while I did join in, but, it isn’t my life.

So, I want to say thank you to friends who I have made. All my galleries online (except facebook) will be deleted (that’s cosplay.com etc) as I have already requested to the site owners to do so. I don’t want anyone finding me online in the future, don’t get me wrong I don’t want NO photos of me in other people’s photos. But no profiles made by me will be open.

So here ladies and gents have been my costumes since 2003!! *tear* Haha..

So, there we have it. I will be selling all my cosplay stuff pretty soon for very cheap prices. I have a lot of random stock that I am sure people can use.

I won't be giving up sewing. Still going to make a few bits and pieces, but it will be because I want to and for me, so not for online things or conventions. So there we go!!

Cosplay for me was cool, great, sad, emotional and stressful! But overall it was a laugh ;)

Also it looks like I get to stay up all night today because I have have have to go to tomorrows Origins of Modern Terrorism lecture. I missed last weeks due to oversleeping, me and morning lectures are not bffs.

I spend roughly 8 hours a piece making webcomics a couple of years ago and when I posted them on DA I got nothing. I spend under 10 minutes badly airbrushing some pikachu ears and a tail onto a shoe and I get 4 favourites. Go figure. ¬.¬

*sigh* First job rejection e-mail today. It was for a job I wasn't bothered about and I really didn't try for the application but it still feels like a kick to the teeth... Funny how that happens isn't it?

Anyhoo - the weekend was fun~ I gate crashed a D&D session at Nick's in Glasgow, watched Spaced with Kim, finally put a face to the Irish Dave legend and surprisedgot counter surprised by Kat, then went for food with el Kat the next day. It was a successful weekend and am grateful to Nick Kim and Tom for letting me stay :3 Also I need more Kat in my life truefaxx

However, since I came back to Stirling after the hectic day and a half in G-town I have crumpled under the weight of my non-existent immune system. Despite that I have been slogging on trying to get job stuff sorted out and I am getting there. Tomorrow begins the task of sorting out wtf is in ma room ;-;

But enough procrastinating now! *flees*
