The Character
Character's Name: Sybil Trelawney
Character's Gender: female
Character's Appearance: She has a rather eccentric look to her. She's pale, with dark brown eyes and black bushy hair pulled into a bun or ponytail. She wears eyeglasses, large hoop earrings and many rings on her hands. Most teachers have stoped trying to make her take her jewelry off, she just puts it back on as soon as they leave.
Character's History: Born into a family that was once famous for knowing all, past, present, and future. Now the family name has long since been thrashed by the newer generations pretending to have the gift that made them so famous in the first place. Her mother has tried to bring her family a new name by inviting people from the town they live in and "reading" thier fortunes. It is a crime her two older sisters are guilty of as her grandmother and mother are.
Most other kids have avoided Sybil since she told a boy that he was doomed to die at a young age, so she spent most of her childhood with her cat Myrian and impressing adults with her "gift".
She was lonely but never cared, she had always dreamed of bringing her family name back becoming the world's greatest seer.
When she was accepted at Hogwarts her mother was pleased that she had been let into Ravenclaw, the same as her and her grandmother and family before her. She was to bring great things to her family.
And, she is a good student for the most part if not for a bit lonely.
Character's Personality: A bright young woman who believes herself to know all, and often finds herself lonely because of it. She has a few friends, but not people she can really trust or talk to. However, she makes do with it, by letting in her studies and practicing having the "inner eye"
Most people will avoid her because of her willingness to read your palm when she randomly walks by. She has no idea why people avoid her or make excuses not to be near her. But, as said she doesnt care.
She is ambitious, once she sets her mind on something she wont give up. Also, a good student mostly except for transfiguration really.
