So, I have put on my shoes, laced them up, and then taken them on and off several times to make sure I can get in and out of them without having to untie them. I have put on my socks and then rolled them into a donut to take them off to allow for easier donning of the socks tomorrow (thanks to whomever suggested that elsewhere over the last few weeks). I've got my water bottle out to fill with water and stick in the freezer so it's cold when I get on the bike. I've put a new battery in my GPS unit and will link them up in a little bit (cloud cover willing, of course) so those are good to go for tomorrow and already reset.
I have: swim towel, goggles, running shoes with donut socks in them, GPS unit, watch, 2 pairs of shorts, 2 tank tops, running hat, sunglasses, a bright towel to lay under my bag in the transition area to make it easily seen (another thank you is due here), flip flops for post event. I also have kleenex, lotion, chapstick, baby wipes, and body glide in the side pocket of my bag. Oh, I also have safety pins and a marker in my bag. Ah!! I just realized my bike helmet isn't in my pile. I'll get that when I go to the garage to check tire pressure and get those ready to load.
My plan in T1 is to get the GPS linking while I do a cursory dry off, put on shorts and tank, bike helmet, socks and shoes, and ride away. Water bottle will already be on the bike and the GPS unit just slips onto my waist band. T2 is simply trading bike helmet for running hat.
Anything I'm forgetting or any last minute tips from anyone?
