Summary: Jared's a slightly jaded hot air balloon pilot, and Jensen's the guy with the fear of heights that's too cheap to let the gift certificate he won in a raffle go to waste.

Notes: This is an idea that just wouldn't leave me alone, so I had to get it out. This is for my beloved

obstinatrix's birthday, which was technically last week, but better late than never! Thanks to the always wonderful

Oh my god! This completely just made my fucking day!! There is absolutely nothing I don't love about this fic! The love at first sight bit was adorable. My face hurts from smiling so hard just at that moment.

And then oh god, MISHA. HE WAS AMAZING! Adorable and a complete ass. Best friend ever! XD Genevieve was brilliant and I wanted to hug her too dammit! I love when authors use Gen or Danneel as the best friends instead of the convenient bitch character. They work so much better this way!!!! :D

The hot air balloon idea was fantastic too! I've never read a fic with that as a premise before. It was original and AWESOME and made everything even better. The SCHMOOP alone was just...gah!

I LOVE THIS!

So sweet meeting on a balloon very romantic such a nice first meeting story. So sad for Jared when he mentioned his dad but now he has Jensen he'll be fine. Gorgeous.

I loved the setting of air balloons, (so unusual and a breath of fresh air)) and how it was an obstacle but not a huge, superdramatic issue- -- for either boy. They both had issues but not to the point where it froze either into inaction. Fun and compelling! Thanks!

So... I read this a few days ago and it was so cute. I just wanted to print it out and make a blankie out of it so I could wrap it around me when it's cold.

I love the sky metaphors and the flames and the picnic (Brushetta's fancy? LOL!) and I'm pretty sure there's a fart joke in there somewhere- you're a bigger person than I am for not making it, and for not titling this 'Up, Up and Away'!
