So comp is up and running and now I'm running around trying to catch up LOL

BUT I do have a question - Do I have any Mac users on my FL? I would like some advice and opinions about them. I used to use them, but due to what the "general" public used and what schools offered I've been with IBM forever. But due to certain decisions I'm looking into getting a Mac ^_^ I'm just not sure whether to aim for a laptop or try out a desktop...I just wanted to know what might be the best kind for me to use. Lots of graphics and multimedia used!

I'm researching them like crazy!

I actually remember to update here XD I have a lot to talk about, but for right now I'm hoping some of my H!P crazy friends can locate a picture for me =D

I've been thinking of not really "cutting" my hair, but doing something with it so it's just not all BLAH when I actually get a chance to wear it down. Now finding good pics of someone with hair my length is not easy, but the other day I ran across this vid -

Yesterday was my birthday and I had to work XD And I was sort of worried because they threatened to embarrass me...BUT...cuz we were so busy they forgot!!! hahahahaha Awesome...

BUT also people were super super cool to me.

~diamondki wished me a happy birthday which I send <3's to her for!
~usakochan paid for my lj account with extra pics ;_; I LUBLUB YOU!!! Now I have to get off my butt and make a new layout and add more user pics ^^ She also gave me a cute little vgift cupcake. I MISS YOU!!!
~bmmn came to my work to eat and I wish I could have talked to her more, but so busy ~WAI!~ but we got Chinese food for dinner after work and also got some Gelato YUM!!!
~Shea got me a cute little card with a glittery cake on it (perfect for Bijou's size ^_~)
~Mum got me these cute little hair clips shaped as crowns that I wore to work *lol* (oh...and Bijou is wearing one in her hair too =P)
~I also got a LOT more food hahahaa Garlic Bread because it is YUMMY and an itty bitty German Chocolate cake ^^
~I also got a HUGE My Melody purse/bag that I've turned into my sewing bag (there's logic behind it and as soon as I upload a pic I'll explain the story!)

Probably everyone has heard already, but Luciano Pavarotti died earlier today. I have a lot of things to be sad about, but wow...this really makes me sad on new levels. I listen to a lot of music, but it's hard for me to find a piece that really moves me or a singer that no matter what they sing I would listen to. He was one of those. His voice was amazing and clear. I have loads of his singing on tape. I'm going to miss that voice...

That leather satchel I squee'ed about in the other post? My art doesn't fit into it -_- DRAT! Guess I'm back to looking for one...

On the other hand I have 6 pieces of art to scan in (once I finish colouring 2) which is rather a good progress for me. And I've come up with some ideas. I just wish I could figure out background art better for my characters...

So as I'm packing (don't ask right now. Story to come later.) I'm going through this large box of purses I have. I'm always handed purses and bags and other such items and most I rarely use. But anyhoo I'm trying to pack it neatly and what do I find on the bottom??? A leather satchel that will work wonderful for my art supplies!!! OMG!!!!!!! I think it's supposed to be used for a laptop, but eh...who cares! I can now organize my stuff better and keep it protected instead of just having them in a paper folder =D I had talked about trying to afford an art bag and here I have one! Occassionally going through your old stuff is a good idea ^_~

Now to clean it properly and actually put my stuff into it LOL Which reminds me that I owe both MeiMei and Army art pieces...der...Plus I have this cute Lolita set I want to work on. Plus...oh ya...hahaha Need to work on art!

I will soon be offering prints of some of my work. I'm still debating about commissions, but I'm not sure.

Bwaahaahaa! For those of you who may not believe when I talk about the HOT HOT temperatures we get here I supply you with this picture -

I took this today at around 11:30am in my backyard. As you can see it's partially in shade as well 0_0 And NO it's not broken! Not yet that is ^_~ If it gets any hotter it will be (we replace our thermometers once a year due to just that fact!) We're trying to find one that reads higher than 120F so ya...

Update on the Pet Food

There are new problems with that Menu Food that produced all that animal food that is causing pets to die. They are now going to look into dry food as well. Is it so wrong for us to think we could trust companies with providing safe products for our pets? Our cat took very well to the new soft food we make ourselves after a few days of turning his nose up at it. Now we have to find a new hard food. It's leading us to think we should definitely take him to the vet to atleast get checked up on.

It lists all the companies that are being recalled and there are 49 of them! I had no idea a plant could cover this many companies. We feed our cat soft food every night and when my mum went to the pet store she saw that the shelves were basically empty and found the notice. I had read the news the other day, but didn't know it involved this many companies. Make sure you click onto the food company's site so you can check the codes on any cans you may have. We're watching our cat to make sure there are no symptoms.

I'm also posting this in my cosplay LJ so sorry if you see this twice, but I want to make sure all my friends read this as I know a lot of them own animals!

Sorry everyone for being MIA on this LJ again. I've come down with yet another flu bug which the doc basically says until this dumb viral part of it goes away the bacteria will keep coming back and I'll continue to get sick. Hm...we're working on it, but right now I feel miserable. And, geez...I forgot to renew my LJ *sigh* I don't even have my fave Momo icon to use *sigh*

Soooooooo...once again sorry for not being around much. Might be a few more days as I really prefer vegging in bed than anything. Of course looking at my FL it seems most I know are MIA recently. Where did everyone goooooooooooooo?

I haven't updated in forever, but so much has been happening XD New job, watching the neice and nephew, holidays, yaddayadda...oh and I injured myself too ^^; Threw my back/hip out and I'm still recovering *sigh* So ya...I'll make a better update later. Right now I'm doing the lame year in review meme and new year resolutions. *nyah*

So those in the know probably already have heard about this, but just in case...

Aika...seriously. And she's the only one! What happened to adding more than one? IDK...She's one of my least fave, but I'm not surprised by any of that XD I just hope she doesn't go around hunching her shoulders every time she sings. That is really annoying. But they already did a make over kind of thing and she actually looks cute. And scary enough already like a Momusu member...unlike a few others who took forever to actually look like a part of the group *haha* BUT, although I'm all for cute Japanese voices, her singing voice is once again...small. I think I would have liked to hear someone more like Asuka (from 1st Gen) or Kei...but I don't think that's what Tsunku is looking for right now. So...there's the news. I'm more into Berryz anyhoo. Momusu hasn't been the greatest recently...

H!P Update

Because I promised I would talk about Hello!Project AND I need a silly post once in awhile ^_~ And since I have a major headache why talk stress, right? LOL

So for those of you not keeping up Morning Musume had auditions again and we're down to the final 6 who will be going through that mini-boot camp thing most members go through. I say most because I don't think Koha did and we won't go through what I think of her ^_~ Sooooooooo...the 6 finalists...uhm...I'm not totally thrilled by any actually although I'm probably going to cheer for the little one people hate because they think she's too cheery and fake LOL ya...I liked Sayu as well so see? HAHA I only remember her name being Sumire because Tsunku calls her Baby Faced Sumire. She's 13 and looks really young so that's why. She's very professional in her presentation and the way she talks to the camera so maybe too professional for Tsunku? IDK...As for the others there's Natsumi who Tsunku named The New Nacchi so if she doesn't get in I'll be surprised. She's not the greatest singer and has an unusual look, but both of those things are normally taken care of in the Idol World, ne? So I guess I wouldn't mind her getting in. Aika seems to have a nice singing voice BUT she slumps when she sings and has a really annoying talking voice and ugh...they would be doing a lot of work or she has a hidden talent I'm missing. Tsunku says he likes how she only put in 62% of trying to be genki while the others always push for over 100% or something like that LOL She seems to be the underdog fave. Minami seems to be really good, but she reminds me of "old Musume" not the newer one and even if that can be a good thing IDK. People are calling her a "yankee" and comparing her to Reina, but just looking at her, hearing her, and seeing her do a traditional dance with fans puts Yuko into my mind. Back when Yuko first joined...not that many people seem to be familiar with that, but I've been keeping track of MM and H!P from the beginning sooooo...Anyhoo apparently she has a website where she's dressed up as Reina and stuff which I'm not going to call a bad thing, but hm...what is she really like then? Yuu and Ayami are mostly forgettable to me, but in another way they're very typical so hmmmm...People are comparing Yuu to Maasa in Berryz for looks and Ayami is shorter than Mari =O so Tsunku even commented about how "too bad MiniMoni is no longer around". I'm rather curious how this goes so we'll see.

I've actually haven't been into Morning Musume's songs recently...more of the H!P groups. They just don't seem to have what got me involved years ago anymore. So we'll see how this changes...if it changes. Some of H!P I don't like too much either. And oh! Country Musume is no more as well. Both Asami and Miuna are graduating. And there hasn't been any word on what Ai is up to. I don't think she's returning. I wonder what the year 2007 holds for my fave Jpop grouping!

And because people tell me the girls I like can't sing I beg to differ.

OH! And Berryz!!! They have a new single. I only heard a part of it and it sounds interesting, but whoa! The girls have grown!!! Yurina is now 5'8" =O And apparently Saki is ever so slightly taller than Momoko. But they're still only 4'11". It's an interesting difference when watching them dance ^^
