The glass girl
With each step
You hear the crunch
Of internal glass
Each blue strand
Coated with crystal
I am the glass girl
Who took far, far
Too many blows
As the punch flew
Slowly moving
Through saturated air
As the hit contacts my flesh
Plunging into my peachy leather
A cross-section view shows
The splintering glass
Giving way
To an angry fist of fire
As it shatters into dainty shards
Of delicate piercing
Pinholes and gouges within my being
The glass girl faints
As all her back you can hear
The melody of crunch and crack
Shatters and is smashed
Into the unforgiving ground
The glass girl
In the IC unit
Cries one more, glossy tear
As her veins try and try
To recuperate their fragile status
As destructible tubes of life
The broken glass girl
Lay there dying
As her crimson life twitched
And melted into rosebud sand
A cone pile of life
Lay sifting out of her arms and legs
From an hourglass figure
The glass girl
Kissed the tender relief goodbye
And welcomed the fate of being
Who she was
As the last grain dropped
And the broken mass of jagged edges
Lay quiet and still
She ceased to be
and ceased to feel
