I am mercurial, passionate, high energy, and implosive. I feel things too deeply, worry too much, and need to get a grip....I don't actually take myself all that seriously as I sometimes seem to, though.

American (though not the stereotypical kind), went to a small private university in the States for two years where I learned highly practical things like how to translate Ancient Greek. Went to the University of Wales for a year and hated it, so I have transferred to Ireland now.

I'm addicted to language, writing, games, painting with pastels, poetry, good writing supplies, falling in love with an impossible situation, Italo Calvino, blah blah blah. I'm a bit strange as I like pink and warm fuzzy things and sleek and sexy things and a whole range you wouldn't expect.

I read all the time, but children's books have a special place in my heart. Sometimes, they manage to explain life with all its complexities and problems more clearly than anything else:
