i'm working on a couple of little comics simultaneously and they have me pretty well tied up in a rigid procession of panel configurations, so here's a brief and fancy free detour in the form of some silly standalone pieces.
3 small mixed media works utilizing watercolor, india ink and gold acrylic. they'll be on sale and display at the world of wonder storefront gallery (WOW) in hollywood as part of the CRAZIANS show opening july 11th. check it out if you're in the area, and let me know how it is! :D

| thesis. |

i took down my thesis show yesterday. it turned out pretty nicely, but i had to paint 33 frames with 2 coats of matte black in order to achieve that effect. owwwww, my back! anyway, i showed the original inked pages of the first installment of my comic book 1909, a steampunk story set in the aforementioned year about edaline ‘edie’ harling, the daughter of an unfortunate metalmancer, and a robot called the ziggurat (known rather innocuously as ‘gary’ to his friends).
 
i sold some handmade copies of the comic, custom binding and laborious double-sided printing et al. i'll be selling these at APE as well, and hopefully off my new website once it's up.

here are 2 photos from a joint art show i had with my friend augusto a couple of months ago. i was very proud of the large "billboard" drawings that i'm standing in front of there, i made them on site by climbing up, lying down on, and falling off of a very tall ladder. so michelangelo!
