I love your renderings on his face and body.

But the inks on the girl is a bit messy (unless it was your intention of doing so, sorry in advance :P)

no need to apologize! the inking is totally messy all over this sketch, and purposefully so. no one aesthetic can be to everyone's tastes, naturally. :)

i've... seen things you people wouldn't believe. hm.
attack ships on fire, off the shoulder of orion!
i watched c-beams... glitter in the dark, near the tannhauser gate!
all those... moments will be lost... in time.
like... hngh. tears.
in rain.

have i mentioned that my CPU is named roy batty? granted, it's not nearly so large and laudable a position as "life-hero," but in some small way through the power of the internet and identity displacement, it is ALMOST AS IF ROY IS SPEAKING TO YOU RIGHT NOW. omg!

roy = the skerriest and the best.

pris's boob: oh, hey!

Aghhh. How do you get ink to do that? It's like you've tamed it and it sits when it's told to sit and it rolls over when you tell it to.

I love the detail on their faces. The ink is so busy but so right! I don't get ittt.

hello! you don't know me, but i've been quietly lurking around your website and/or journal for a long time, and this picture is just enough to make me break out of my shell of anonymity. it's gorgeous - you captured both of them really well without having an obsessive likeness, i love Pris's blonde hair and then the hollow blackness of her uh, eyeholes underneath. you inkwork speaks to the aesthetic of the film really nicely. i feel a little weird about seeing so much more of Roy as opposed to how obscured Pris is by the ink, but it makes sense symbolically since Roy is technically the more important character.

i just got that whole 5-disc collector's edition for Xmas, and i got to see the final cut in a theatre on my birthday, which was a whoa experience. the Vangelis score surrounded me! everything was so big and bright! i almost cried. it's such a beautiful movie, my favorite, and this really does Roy and Pris justice! kudos.

thank you so very much for coming out of lurkerdom to leave such a lovely comment (and with an equally lovely and fitting icon, no less!). i'm so happy you found this sketch tonally in keeping with the movie and characters. i drew it right after watching the final cut without looking at any reference, and i suppose roy must have had more of an impact on me, hence his prominence here. i mean, that whole crazy operatic death crescendo at the end of the film's a pretty amazing thing, and ultimately all about roy.

*loves blade runner to pieces*

i didn't even know that there was a 5-disc collector's edition, that sounds amazing. and i'd give a bio-engineered limb to see the movie on the big screen. :)

Shit. Lookit the strokes. Lookit the understanding of muscles. ARGHHH I can go on analyzing but they'll all disappear... like tears in the rain. Cos bottom line is this is badass. I want more free time to be able to do stuff you're able to! I need to catch up with you! It's too bad I don't have time, but then again who does!!??

Hey there lady I'm your geeky fanboy uh hyuk! One day we should collaborate with our net artist friends to do an anthology, uh hyuk!

Kthxscaringmingalreadybye.

p/s - This is a simple peace yet somehow says a lot. Maybe cos i watch it too much. Maybe the tainted effects on this piece appears like a metaphor for these machines finding their souls. BAH I TALK TO MUCH. YER AWESOME.

ziddoooooh, are you kidding? you nevah evah talk too much! i'll take all the silly art talk i can get, and you know i feel the same way about your own work. you're so amazing, i want you to have tons of free time too so i can reap the benefit of your art labors and have lots of pretty pictures to look at! mwah ha ha.

any time you want to do an anthology, i am there. maybe one about GHOSTS IN THE MACHINE (the concept, not the anime, though stand alone complex ROOLZ)? IT'S A THOUGHT!!

Oh my God, it's so *them*. That human/inhuman thing they have going on, that sense that their inhumanity is as programmed as their humanity is natural -- *flaily hands*

It's one of my favorite movies of all time, and this is a totally awesome impression of it. *SIGH* How are you so awesome? How?

*SIGH* How are you so awesome? How?

i don't think i'd be too far out of bounds by asking the same re; your own dominant property of pure awesome. inquiring internerds need to know!

blade runner is without a doubt my favorite sci-fi movie of all time... though there was that instance back in grade school where i made my girlfriends watched stargate 4 TIMES IN A ROW at a slumber party. the other girls painted their nails while i used the nail polish to make paintings of the animal guard type sentry ghoulies and rah. luckily this was the 90's, so there were all sorts of unfortunately appropriate sparkle hues to work with. *g*
