BATS!
here's a new illustration for an article in the las vegas weekly on a book called holidays are hell. it's got bats in it, so i decided to do a little pencil sketch of batman too! ...not that it ever takes much to convince me to draw batman.

eee, i'm so pleased they're creepy yet ALSO MOSTLY ADORABLE. usually everything i draw is just too gruesome for words, but i'm working on rectifying the unmitigated horror aspect of my art. ;)

batman is totally climbing out of something gross and filled with refuse, like... HIS OWN PSYCHE??!?!!1

Those bats are fantastic! They look like something that calamityjon's lil batman would have around for the holidays. And Rudolph the red-nosed reign-bat is the bestest bat of them all!

The reindeer-bats are adorable! They remind me of that weird sword & sorcery Elseworld in which the Batmobile wass a carriage drawn by bats.

Seriously, the only way that illustration could have been better would be if Batman had been driving the sleigh, but I suppose that would have been out of your purview...
