thanks, danneh! i had a lot of fun with that profile, i wanted to make it look super hellenic but not too classical, you know? she is a timeless asskicker, after all! pow!

get these to gail simone, stat. i was going to say "i especially like the collar" but then i especially liked the greaves-sleeves, & the...whatever those loops coming out of the bottom of the skirt are called.

haaa, thank you! i'm glad you found several things to love in this design. i have no idea what the loops coming out of the bottom of the skirt are called either, besides "cloth." but i imagine that if diana takes off the armor elements of this uniform then she'd be left with a perfectly serviceable toga/dress deal over a durable leotard. you know, so she can kick up her heels and hang out at a poetry reading on themyscira or go shopping in venice in a pinch!

thanks. the background's actually a painting i did for a class back in art school, but it went so well with the subject matter that i don't even feel that bad forcing it to serve as a backdrop. ;)

This is AMAZING. I love how Grecian it is. And I love that it's so graceful, so regal and elegant, but it also looks like something you wear to FIGHT in. Prettiest armor ever!

Oooooooh you've outdone yourself on the design this time!! It's fabulous, it really is. She's so statuesque and amazingly regal--I love the Greco-Roman design abbreviated into a superheroing (that's a word now) outfit, and I love the graceful high collar and the placement of the stars!

superheroing has always been a word in my heart, and now it is totally a word in our lj art lexicon. let's use it unsparingly and at every opportunity. :D

and thanks too, you know! the elements you mentioned are some of my own favorites, especially the concept of her traditional hellenic garb being "abbreviated" into a SUPERHEROING FANCYSUIT. that's it exactly!

thanks, kate! i think there are going to be tons of awesome entries. competition'll be pretty stiff, but really, we all win when that happens. :D

i don't know if you've seen this already, but daniel krall, a really amazing illustrator with a keen eye for fashion, posted his take on wonder woman and wonder girl a while ago. with entries like that, this is going to be a dianapalooza awesomeathon!

Srsly, Ming, this gives me a design hardon. I love the desaturated colors, how you've incorporated the patriotic elements with the bits of Grecian garb. My favorite though is her headband -- so elegant!

aww, thanks sair! i'm really especially super happy you like the headband. i replaced wonder woman's two most iconic accessories, the tiara and bulletproof bracelets, with elements of my own design, and i know that's gonna be tough for some people to stomach. but, but, headbands! <3

I love the leather straps. Reminds me of Justice Riders, but it suits the "Amazon Princess" :D

Shorter, high-rise skirt is HOT.
As is the high neck collar. I LOVE IT!
And pirate boots FTW. Ass-kickery needs pirate boots.
