Wow, she is cool. Yanno. In a slightly creepy sort of way.

slightly! come now, surely she is way creepier than that!

What can I say, I have a talent for understatement.

She's really pretty fab (and everyone knows the hottest girls are the scariest!).

If Batman were a farmer instead of a billionare playboy he'd have a special Round Up dispensing weapon just for her. I like this take on her, she is less 'pretty pin up girl' and more 'freaky villain'.

you, because batman is batman, he probably does have a pouch full of that "Round Up" stuff somewhere in his utility belt! that or a mini wheedwhacker. and that sounded kind of wrong, but you know what i mean!

thanks, tamma. i'm glad she came out menacing enough to be a proper skerry villainess! :D

arrrrr your inkinggggg ♥
(her legs in particular are so beautifully done!)

I'd kinda like to see in the full picture that warm glowy tinge the background and her shoulders and hair have in the preview picture. I'm a sucker for red and glowy ^^; but I like how the lights glowww in that preview.

i like glowy lights too, but my inner goth always foils me in the end and makes me desaturate and gloomify everything! it is most frustrating indeed.

thank you for the comment! :3

Poison Ivy is my favorite DCU villain of all time-- or at least the basic concept of Poison Ivy is my favorite DCU villain concept of all time-- and this is hands down the best representation of her that I've ever seen. The way she's taking over the cityscape! You've managed to get that out-of-Eden look in there without making it cheesecake, just part of her-- menacing and beautiful like nature. Plus, the way her legs are twining into vines!

and this is one of the many reasons why you are the smartiest. i love, love, love the concept of almost the entire dc universe. it's just that the execution sometimes disappoints me, especially re: ALL FEMALE CHARACTERS, but i believe we've had that conversation before. or are still having it, because the issue ain't gonna be over until ivy stops showing up at hero smackdowns in nothing but a man's dress shirt and a fig leaf. she is supposed to be one very scary berry indeed!

this is hands down the best representation of her that I've ever seen.

and now i'm just a happy fool. thanks, jube. :)

Wow. I... damn, you deserve so much more of a comment than "wow. Um.

She looks like a goddess, an elemental, an eruption of Nature into the heights of civilization. She does't look human, in an utterly awesome way.

Oh, Ivy looks so cool! *grins* I love how she looks so frightening and powerful here, rather than just "exotic and sexy" (though she still looks that, too!). She's pretty much always been my favorite Batman villain. ♥

The ink strokes around the top of her head that look like pine needles? Very neat.

thanks! and yeah, i tried to make her as physically plantlike as possible. her hair is probably some unholy combination of pine needles, tuber roots, crabgrass, tree branches, and bits of assorted bark. it's the new style! ;)

you know, i've seen most of the first season and some of the other stuff? never saw it on tv, sadly. i caught it all on youtube. i do like it! wily, older bruce is great fun, and that terry kid ain't hard to look at. um, for a cartoon. of course. i imagine. *g*

oh man, the entire series is online at alluc.org! it was probably the best way to procrastinate that i've enjoyed so far. and then the movie with those characters that explains why bruce stopped being batman is pretty sweet too. all kinds of old and new coming together. not to mention the justice league episodes that have all kinds of batmans running around...

I really need to cut back the TV, hahah

And no kidding about that Terry kid, whew! :)

god, that site is evil! it has EVERYTHING, and the anime section is so huge and tempting!

*trembles in fear*

i bought the Return of the Joker dvd a while ago. it's twisted, but i do like it. i love the entire dc animated universe! but as cracky as it can be with the multiple batmans and everything, it is nothing compared to the crackiness that is the comics. i've only even vaguely looked in the direction of the tip of the comics ice berg, and the crackiness truly astounding.

why thank you! she is rather transfixin', isn't she? i recently read her arc in Gotham Knights, where she beseeches bruce wayne to help her regain her biological humanity because she over-fertilized some NML orphans. and then hush re-fertilized her to death because he wanted to date her, but it didn't take, etc.

I CAN'T LOOK AWAY FROM THE COMICS, o sweetest of sexductions.

... *WOW*. God, the legs were freaking me out as I scrolled down and then I saw and I saw the arms for what they were and and and I totally flailed. Like, parts of my brain which had previously been in one place totally found their way to entirely different places. Just -- glorious.

I especially love the inking on this -- *really* nice old-school Vertigo feel, like maybe I'm about to read something creepy and dark and brilliant about Ivy by Milligan or someone. Major coolness, babe.

YAY. i know that canonically, ivy is simply green and filled with florablood, but i absolutely had to go down the far more japanese and deranged path of making her a plant. perhaps the end result is a little too classically nymph-like, but what girl doesn't need bark tentacles? I ASK YOU.

and oh, MILLIGAN. VERTIGO. <333333333. i bought Enigma - drawn by fegredo? - a few months ago. i am still agonizing over the beauty.
