I was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, but currently live in Kentucky. I'm a graphic and web design student, working part time as a writing tutor. I live in Lexington with my partner of four years, and two cats. We are both involved in activism for liberal causes, especially women's and LGBT rights. Eventually, we will move to Budapest for a few years, cats and all.

Back in Hungary, I was an interpreter and worked at a homeless shelter for three years. I also taught English and Hungarian as second languages, and translated publications from English. I love languages, and hope to translate Hungarian literature into English someday. I've dabbled in German, French, Spanish and Russian, and hope to hone my knowledge in all of these.

I've been surrounded by books since childhood... they were my best friends growing up. Feminist literature is very important for me, from Virginia Woolf to Barbara Kingsolver. I write both fiction and essays, especially about women's, queer and international issues. I've had a few stories published in LGBT publications, and plan to continue writing in this field.

Because my dad worked at a theatre, I grew up around it and acted a lot when I was a kid. I still love theatre and take every chance I get to be on stage. Music is extremely important for me... sadly, I've never had the chance to learn playing an instrument. I love to sing in a women's choir, and am teaching myself to play the recorder. My favorite styles are Renaissance and Baroque classical music, jazz, folk, New Age and world music.

I love messing around with computers, but have not had much formal training in them other than my present program. My secret addiction is old-fashioned graphical adventure games, in the vein of Quest for Glory and Gabriel Knight (my two favorite series). I have a special fondness for those with strong storylines, well-written dialogue and beautiful music. I really admire the people who are trying to resurrect this genre as volunteers. However, I'd like to see more strong female leads in adventure games. My partner and I both play World of Warcraft somewhat casually.

I've done a lot of mission work and activism as a volunteer, and traveled extensively in Europe. I came to the States in order to immerse myself in a new culture and language, and to share my own. Through all the traveling, I've become fascinated with different cultures, and hope to work for dialogue among them. My partner is American, and getting to know each other's culture has been extremely rewarding.

I'm a very spiritual person, but have often been hurt by organized religion. I hope to promote dialogue and understanding among different faiths. I consider myself an Unitarian Universalist. My partner and I attend a wonderfully welcoming and supportive UU church in Lexington. I advocate the religious leadership of women, the acceptance of LGBT people in churches, and the awareness of the Divine Feminine.
