Biography: Maril (original Quenyan form Mariel) is the only daughter and second child born in the year 1347 to Egalmoth and his wife Elanna in Tirion upon Tuna.
When young, and up until his death in the Nirnaeth, her elder brother Caranmoth tended to be rather protective of his little sister much to her annoyance and exhasperation. Her younger brother,Sulmoth, meanwhile, died during the crossing of the Helcaraxe distressing Maril greatly as she had adored her younger brother. Then later, the loss of her elder brother as well, has led her to become, a little introvertive, especially considering the fact that she used to be extrovert almost to the extreme.
During Turgon's (and his followers) sojour at Vinyamar in Nevrast, Agladir son of Alcarion was born, and, due to the death of his father in the Aglareb he, and her elder brother became good friends, the latter treating the former as a 'replacement' younger sibling. Due to this Maril also thought of him as little more than a younger sibling. But, after many a year her love for him began to change; but still not entirely sure of her own feelings let alone his she has never spoken openly about it, though she will often attempt to hint at her feelings for him in the attempt to make him act upon any feelings that he might have.
Maril has changed little over the years, but, since the loss of many whom she loved, she holds the remainder of them much closer than before. For the most part Maril takes after her father but, she has inherited a temper als, though from where neither mother nor father know for certain, or at least, do not admit to knowing. Generally Maril is bright and cheerful, though grief does tend to haunt her at times; she enjoys a laugh and is rarely seen without a smile upon her face but, if her anger is aroused it can be quite frightening. She can also be rather blunt when asking a question though, answering is quite a different thing altogether.
Unlike her mother who is a painter Maril cannot mix a colour to save her life, instead ending up with something very nondescript; though she can sketch things, even if she can't paint them. But, when she was about forty she was spending sometime with her mothers' sister-in-law and found that she could embroider, much to her aunts delight and her parents surprise. Especially due to the fact that her paternal grandmother couldn't touch a needle without making herself bleed, while her maternal grandmother was a painter.
Maril can play the clarinet and harp competently though she is not very skilled on either instrument, and her fingers feel safer with a needle and thread.
She has light brown hair that is slightly wavy (inherited from her mother), as well as the usual grey eyes of the Noldor.

Edit: Recently Maril has become pregnant out of wedlock to Agladir son of Alcarion, they had been betrothed before this event and they still plan to be wed. In the early Summer of F.A. 502 Maril gave birth to a little boy; called Antien by his father.
