me + atom egoyan
so apparently I'm kind of important in the university of toronto's cinema scene. charlie keil (the director of u of t's cinema institute) emailed me today to tell me I was selected to apply for a place in a course being taught by atom egoyan for the next school year. this offer is only being extended to certain students in the cinema programme and is extremely competitive. the course is only open to fourth year students and is limited to 12 students, having only three come from the cinema programme. it's a pretty cool opportunity to learn under atom egoyan in such an intimate atmosphere, I'm definitely considering it. my mind is blown that I was even considered for the programme, it's like if you're a music student (or lover) and you were given the chance to learn under someone like neil young or leonard cohen. basically it's a HUGE deal.
in other news, I got my new ipod yesterday and my new cell phone today (after much anger and stupidity which I'm trying to put behind me lol). also, I've been offered a job at the harbourfront centre for the summer, I'm going in for an interview on tuesday.
finally, 14 days until angelica and I leave for europe :D there's a sloan show the night before I leave and I'm going to pick up my wristband for that tonight! june's gonna be a crazy month!
