burns night 2012

last night was burns night - a (mainly british) celebration of the scottish poet robbie burns. fergus and I spent it at the bell inn...there was a piper, haggis, neeps, tatties and whiskey all around, a good time had by all!



I finished my day job and headed straight to the pub. I was charged with decorating the back restaurant where the guests would be eating their dinners. we had lots of rampant lion decorations and it looked alright once everything was set up! fergus arrived later, and was the man in charge of the address to a haggis as well as the grace (he did a very nice job! did me proud :))



























I was busy serving, but had a great time! the piper was really fantastic and played most of the night. the meal consisted of scotch broth, haggis/neeps/tatties, a roast beef with veg, cranachan and of course, whiskey! a fun time had by all!
