The last two weeks have been boring. Not I-have-nothing-to-do boring, but just almost lifeless. I've had no real inspiration to do anything and there's really no place to go around here, so I've been watching lots of movies and tv shows I've already seen. I suppose I could have used that time more productively watching, say LOST or Pushing Daisies, but that thought only just came to me. What's weird is that I think its related to not having an active fandom at the moment. I know it sounds really silly, but I'm so much more productive if I'm interested in something and as much as I love Merlin, it takes every ounce of me not to download the rest of the season AND stay spoiler free, which means staying away from all the fannish comms; and while I'm um...yeah not even excited about Harry Potter. I should be, half blood prince, even for all its romantic weirdness, is one of my favorite books, but I just can't get excited. I think I might be more excited to reread the books. But that has to wait since I already have two started and one is for school and sloooooow.

Originally today I was going to play with making some new jewelery, but alas, my porcelain clay and 10th kingdom cd's both wouldn't work, so I moved on to trying to make those lovely parisan macaroons. And believe it or not, they turned out lovely! And they really weren't hard at all.
The color isn't nearly as vibrant as in real life, but I still think the picture shows how really cool they are.

I keep seeing all the book sales online and really REALLY want to have a mini book spree. I just have to find some new books I really want to read.

I've been playing with Merlin caps on and off  for the last two days and still am fighting with my stupid selective color. But I think the attempts are working.



Of course it doesn't help that I keep googling Gaspard Ulliel and thinking that its okay. I really should have never watched Pairs, Je t'aime a few days ago. Mom hates it. Every time she walks into my room I'm watching some new french movie with subtitles. Last night she told me I needed to blink more. lol. 


I mean really, with that hair? A girl could loose it for hours. Even if the diaologue isn't that realistic. Or maybe French boys just walk up to random people at work and  ramble. American boys sure don't do that. Especially about their soul mates.

I'm watching part two of Nicholas Nickleby tonight. This version. Not this version. And I'm super excited. Even for all the death, part two is much more joyful than part one. That, and 2 hours of James D'Arcy is never a bad thing.

I only wish people still read this document, truly thought about the power the words give us, and how only our own diligent vigilance and faith, not the vigilance and faith of others, will allow this nation to prosper. Its amazing how fitting Jefferson's words still are today. I suppose they always will be.

Merlin starts tonight in the US and I'm super excited! And then, of course, true blood. Sundays could only get better if I didn't have my internship tomorrow morning.

Doesn't he make everything better?

Its pouring around here and all I want to do today is either watch some Austen mini or read. I might to both. Like everyone this summer, I've been pretty busy. The internship is going well. I get to catalog German bibles and furnature on monday. I got offered a full time job at Inpendence Hall, and then realized it would be a 6 hour commute time. So I had to turn it down. I think I died a little inside that day. And I finally got all my books for English Senior Seminar next semeseter. I started with The Dollmaker and so far am pretty interested.

Oh! And I'm trying to find (please don't think less of me) the Bella and Edward action figures. But Edward can't have sunglasses glued on, and doesn't Bella only come with that Edward? I was at the mall yesterday, but couldn't get the guts to go into Spensers to look with my mom. 'Cause of, well, that whole "dirty" section and my mom would walk right into it and want to discuss things and I just can't take that again. lol

I swear if I'm getting a head cold I will hurt whoever gave it to me. And if I don't get better by Monday I really will hurt someone because I GOT MY INTERNSHIP!! He actually called me to tell me, which was pretty awesome, I have to say. Today has been a lazy day though, apart from me trying to eradicate the nasty at the back of my throat. I know, TMI, tmi. But there is something pretty cool behind the cut...

So, I went for my interview wednesday of last week and I still haven't heard anything back. It was a holiday weekend, they could be really busy, they sounded super interested in having me intern. I really hope he emails me back tomorrow. I'll send an inquiry Thrusday if I don't hear anything. Does that sound reasonable?

Mr roommate came down for the Coldplay concert on Thursday, and that's why I've been MIA for a good week. I didn't even find the time to post to the blog, or read my web comics. I'm all caught up now though, so everything should get rolling again tomorrow. I'm still trying to figure out what I should write about for the blog. I'm thinking of introducing some history into it if I can. But right now, I'm more angry I missed the season finale of Legend of the Seeker. I must watch that tomorrow. And update the scrapbook.

Coldplay was fantastic. The lighting and creativity of the concert was just inspiring and although I didn't feel as though the crowd was 100 percent invested in the concert, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was an outside concert in Hershey and we were delayed about a half hour because of a summer thunderstorm, which was pretty cool if you think about it. Viva la Vida was clearly the crowd favorite (and mine certainly). At the end of the song Chris "died" on stage. He took so long getting up, the crowd though he wanted them to sing to him, so we kept doing the "O's" till he got up. And then they sang I'm a believer and it was so cute. They even gave us their new cd for free (which I kinda already had from their website, but it was a really great gesture nonetheless. I don't have many pictures, my camera fails at night/concert pictures (I'm waiting for Michele to put her's up) but I do have a few pieces of video I posted over on tumbler. The short one is from "fix you" and the longer on is "Viva La Vida". Oh, and one picture from "Yellow" which was so cool: overwhelming yellow lights, and at least 50 yellow ballons for the crowd to bounce during the song was just amazing. I would definately see them again.
