claude_van_dam: Looks Interesting....So Has Been Stolen From Most Of Y'all

step 1: put your MP3 player or whatever on random. step 2: post the first line (or any line you like since the first line may include the title of the song) from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song. step 3: post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from. step 4: strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly. step 5: looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING! 1- Don't be shocked by the tone of my voice. 2- I waited eight long months, she finally set him free. </b></a> xbubblegumslapx 3- She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene. </b></a> xbubblegumslapx 4- Storm clouds are raging all around my door. 5- On the way, Trying to get where I'd like to say. 6- Tonight we fly ever free, We're free before the thunderstorm. 7- Change my pitch up. 8- Keep it away from the fire unless you want it to burn. 9- Hook me up a new revolution Cos this one is a lie. </b></a> chiyo_misato 10- It was love from above, like it saved me from hell. 11- She's like so whatever, You can do so much better. </b></a> chiyo_misato 12- Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend. 13- Put to rest what you thought of me. </b></a> chiyo_misato 14- She gives me the eye So I stop to give her a light. 15- Come over here and kiss me all night long. 16- But all the miles that separate, Disappear now when I'm dreaming of your face. 17- There's nothing wrong with just a little little fun. 18- It justifies my means, All I ever do is delay. 19- Drunken disguise changes all the rules. 20- I've asked myself, How much do you commit yourself? </b></a> chiyo_misato Have fun ^__^

claude_van_dam: New Job & Hayley Williams

Hi peeps This past week was a very good one, I finally started with esure in Cadogan Street in the city centre on Monday after a month off work after finishing with Norwich Union & I must say I'm impressed with the place. I'm a Home Claims Specialist which is basically the same job I did with HSBC but there is a lot more freedom to settle claims by myself if everything is fine & all the nessesary documents have been received. Plus with esure I have my own email address (feel free to drop me an email on claudio.spitoni@esure.com if you're bored at work or uni) & i have internet access too :D I'm training for the next two weeks but after that i'm on the phone.....OH & THE BEAN BAGS! on my floor the break room we have has 8 bean bag chairs & they are so god damn comfy ^__^ I have found myself almost falling asleep sitting on them on friday Also this past Monday, after 2 re-scheduled gigs (they were originally to be playing in Glasgow on the 10th of Feb) me & Christine FINALLY saw Paramore at the Carling Academy & I have to say they ended up being worth the wait...I know she's only 18/19yrs old but the lead signer Hayley Williams is one cute button :p The music was very good & the place was buzzing....only thing i really didn't like were there too many teeny boppers there, I'm sure at 24yrs old I was one of the oldest guys at the show, but I enjoyed the show......Hayley seemed to be loving playing in Scotland but what lead singer doesn't. Next we've got Avril Lavigne next at the Carling at the end of the month. Increase The Peace!

penfy: Ugh!

Net got activated yesterday however I'm still not online yet. The facts were these: We have no O2 router as it got delivered twice while no one was in to sign for it. Parceline sent it the day after I ordered so I didn't get a chance to change the postal address. Tried changing the address online for re-delivery or to even just have it left in a safe place but it refused to let me do this online and told me to call up instead yet when you call it not only is entirely automated but it gives you no option to change the address or have the parcel left. I thought it'd be ok because I still have my old Sky router but alas, there was no net signal coming thru it. I went up to Bry's and borrowed his phone handset as we don't actually have a telephone yet and tried the line and there's no signal even tho the line is actually activated. Had a look at the phone socket and there was a snapped wire (after a certain big, obese retard kicked over the socket on Saturday night at the flatwarming) so I figured that was why there was no tone but when I called BT they said there's also a fault in my area so I won't know for sure until the engineer has fixed the fault tomorrow. Best case scenario, the line will just work tomorrow and the Sky router will pick up the signal fine and I'll be online. Worst case scenario, the fault has nothing to do with it and the wire is broken which will need to be replaced probably costing money for an engineer to come out, the router won't pick up the signal or will somehow be otherwise incompatible meaning I'll have to somehow contact Parceline outwith their online/phone vicious circle of cust service POINTLESSNESS and then wait for the O2 router to arrive. *Sigh* Why can't things ever be simple? ¬.¬ I'm just grateful that my work has free phones for staff to use or else I'd be royally screwed over!

bryoz: Kewl Beans!!

Speeeeeeeeeeeed Racer~!! Myself, Tina, Kim, Psy, Natalie, John, Sarah, Steven and Jen popped out to the iMax cinema this evening for a showing of Speed Racer. I was c hoked up with that pain in my throat for almost the entire time in awe of a stunning visual production XD Lame I know, but the entire thing felt so nostalgic of my childhood and the origin for my path in animation. I'm currently aquiring the entire original series and have aquired blueprints to the Mach 5!! Stay tuned for some 3D work over the summer :D Amazing film, amazing company. ~Back to work Edit: I'm finished all my university studies this coming Friday (4EVA!), so people I've neglected to talk to, or hang out with as much, I promise I'll make an effort once I'm finished :P Anyone know of any jobs going in the city? Pref. £12k+ but I'm flexible :P Fri, May. 9th, 2008, 11:29 pm
bryoz: Bah, late again!

I hope this isn't entirelly redundant, but good luck to anyone sitting exams (and good luck to the people who have sat exams and waiting on results too), be it High School, College or University! I usually wish people luck on my home page during exam time, but seeing as I haven't updated in a while.. yeah :/ Hope everyone gets the results they strive for and have a great summer. Good luck to anyone just starting uni too. I know it may seem daunting, but stick with it. Before you know it, you'll have graduated and stuck trying to figure what to do next XD *totally not based on personal opinion and experience*~Bry

claude_van_dam: Fuck Online Gaming

The whole thing is a con in today's video game......full of fucking arrogant american wankers who have no fucking friends outside of their fucking spunk filled bedroom. They play online for hours on end and they all just seem to be more interested in winning rather than having fun......they do the same moves over & over & over & over again, and how they enjoy doing this is beyond me or they simply don't enjoy it and if that's the case then why play? All i can say is yay to single player games & multi player games with your mates & a few beers......SAY NO TO ONLINE BULLSHIT

theljstaff posting in news: Advisory Board Nominations Open
Advisory Board Nominations BeginThis morning we are opening the nomination process for the user-representative positions on the LiveJournal Advisory Board. A full description of the process can be found here. To get you started, here are the basic things you should know: - You may only nominate yourself - Each nominee will need 100 motions of support in order to be eligible to be a candidate - We ask that you keep your comments on the nomination posts to "I support this nomination" or something to that effect; be kind to those who will need to count the "supports", please. - Although the nominations and election poll will take place in lj_election_en, you do not need to watch the community in order to keep up with the election; we'll announce everything here as well. Everyone here at LiveJournal is looking forward to this first-ever User-Representative election! We'd like to thank everyone who is participating. Some words from our current Advisory Board members: danah boyd: “LiveJournal is filled with very passionate users. These users have helped shaped LJ's various communities over the last decade and it gives me great joy that LJ is recognizing and incorporating users' voices into the decision-making processes. Having user representatives from different parts of LJ on the Advisory Board will help make sure that the company is meeting the needs of its diverse constituents.” Esther Dyson: "I'm sure we'll learn a lot from the process, and later on from the two users selected as well. Especially, I hope that the discussions before the voting will be more meaningful and more focused on policy than those in some offline campaigns." Brad Fitzpatrick: "It's cool that SUP is getting users involved with the LiveJournal decision-making process. I look forward to seeing who the community elects and the results of our efforts working together." Professor Lawrence Lessig: “The user elections will provide a critical check on LJ's process of maintaining a valuable and trustworthy environment for the LJ community. The mandate of the elections will give the user representatives pride of place among the members of the Advisory Board. Each of us will look to them to guide us in our judgment about how best to make LJ the community we all aspire that it will be. I look forward to welcoming the user representatives, and learning a great deal from them.” chasethestars has also made some banners for you to use, if you'd like to show your support for the candidate of your choice! ( Banners + code for you to use! )
