- I am a beginning-ish farmer along with my husband, Adam. After working for a number of years on various farms, we got our start renting 2 acres of certified organic land from Gardens of Eagan, in Farmington, Minnesota in 2005. In October 2008, we bought a 40-acre certified organic farm in Hutchinson, MN (70 miles west of Minneapolis) and will continue our CSA, the Mill City Farmers Market in Minneapolis, and sales to retail and restaurants. 2009 will be our 5th season of farming independently, and we'll be chronicling the farming foibles, madness, and ecstasy right here...
