Hmm. I really dug NIN back in the day, but "The Fragile" and the last album (I forget the name) both disappointed me in the extreme. The last one actually bored me so badly I couldn't sit through most of the songs.

However, I hear enough people talking about this one that I just might have to check it out.

it's wonderfully political and full of biting sarcasm and satire. even if you don't like the style of music, i think you'd appreciate it for that alone.

it's been on my to-do list for some time. downloading now. (i know that's "wrong", but i don't have room to collect CDs in my current semi-transient lifestyle. if it's really good i'll buy it when i come back to the states)

*side-note: i know that The Fragile seems to be the classic NIN album most people love, but i can't help but always having a soft spot for Pretty Hate Machine. "Head Like a Hole", "Down in It", "Something I Can Never Have", etc... all those songs are so raw & powerful, they give me chills.

its not wrong - trent leaked the whole album three weeks before it was due out in stores. he knows what's up, and made the CD extra special for those who do fork out the dough. like it changes colors n stuff.

amazing album, he's back to the good shit, not to say his other stuff isn't good... but this shit is RAW, and the bass on almost every song makes me have an ear orgasm. yeeee....

so glad you enjoy it liz! when they go on tour i plan on spending all my savings !!! :)
