Whoopeee! I'm -finally- posting! x|

Just arrived at my sister's place in Rochester, Minnesota after like what.. 27 hours of travelling?! It's about 1am here. :S Surprisingly I'm not too exhausted although I hardly slept in the plane. I think it's the cold that's keeping me awake.. it's like a FREEZER out there! Reached a new low of -14 degC tonight and almost killed my fingers and toes >.< (I think you can leave a piece of meat outside now and take it in to thaw and fry 2 weeks later) Yep, it aint snowing yet! Probably next week, but there's a bit of frost along the roadsides already.

Oh and my sis -just- delivered! Like 1 hour after we touched down! Baby Naomi's really chubby (apparently!) just like mummy when she was a baby. Really really can't wait to go visit them in the morning! Aye. Then I'll take lots of pics ^^ But I've gone to see the baby's room and it's completely pink o_o sopretty! [Will take pics tmr coz I'm too lazy to go upstairs now :X] But I added a bit of green (sticks out like a sore thumb amidst the sea of pink) coz I bought a squishy green turtle from Mothercare. Eeeeeeeeeee~

Haha okay, the flights were pretty bearable. We flew to HK and then to LA on Cathay, then took an internal flight on Northwest Airlines to Minneapolis. It was my first time sitting in First Class on Cathay! Lol. There were only like 14 seats in the First Class cabin and it was right at the front of the plane. It was really cool! You have fully-reclining seats, LOTs of leg room blabla and can order food anytime you wish xD I ate so much I didn't need to have dinner later on the NW flight! They served like caviar and swiss salmon as appetizers; lunch was mushroom soup, tenderloin beef, cheese (I forgot the name but it was nice, chewy and sweet) and crackers, and chocolate mousse with raspberries and blueberries for dessert. Hee. I think I put on like a kg or two from breakfast alone.. but I couldn't help it! Was feeling greedy. Had wonton mee soup, cornflakes and milk and scrambled eggs with sausages :S *does not want to weigh self*




Didn't watch many movies on the flight, just The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift, which was really uh. It wasn't bad! At least I thought it was better than the previous one. Watched Friends, Mr Bean (don't ask. I think I must have watched this christmas episode for like the millionth time today x_x), That 70s show and random stuffs before I just settled down with my book (:

Oh. And I got a lady's toiletries bag from Elemis (filled with lots of nice skincare goodies!) and a sleepsuit and slippers set from Shanghai Tang (Aie! Almost alliteration. Ahaha xD). Funky (:




The NW flight was weird! We were in the first class, which was really not a big deal coz they made this announcement that only the first and business classes could use the lavatories :S Zomg. And they had no TVs or any form of entertainment other than the SKY Shop catalogue :S (if you call that entertainment!) Terrible. And it was a much longer flight than that from Singapore to HK! Hmm. Yes, don't take internal flights on NW, unless you:
a) Have a friend you can chat with for hours or,
b) Have a really good book or,
c) Can sleep in an upright position since the seats can't be adjusted or,
d) Are queer and like horrible flights :S

Oh and US security checks are super super stringent and not to mention, very inconvenient. You have to remove your shoes and outerwear and belts and watches and aiyoh. It's like watching a continuous striptease :S *isamused* And omgomg the white check-in guy was so lol! We just went up to him and had barely uttered a word when he motioned for us to go to the guy at the next counter who was this Chinese chap; and whose nametag read "Interpreter". We were like zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ;>_> That's nice. We spoke better English than he :X But it's cool though, being the minority race for once :D And the Americans are actually pretty nice and friendly! They just strike up a conversation with you randomly and speak as if they've known you for ages. Gave me a nice warm feeling ^^

Okay it seems I'm the only one still awake :S Have to bunk in with my aunt in a room upstairs while my parents sleep in the living room. Apparently my aunt snores muchly :X Hmm. Laadeedum! Oh and my goodness, Azureus works so much better here! The speed's like 10 times that in Singapore. Must be all the American users. Goodgood xP

My fingers are freezing over already. *types letter by letter with index finger*
Will post again! (Hopefully) Since tomorrow promises to be warmer and my fingers can thaw ^^
