<lj:music>Josh Groban - Mi Morena</lj:music>

I'm watching Josh Groban: Live At The Greek as I type this. Just got it from HMV yesterday. Yes, I know it was released decades ago, but still, better late than never. And I got it for like 1/3 its original price. I always get the awesomest deals. :) My Nightwish dvd was going for half the price when I purchased it.

Josh is adorable. After singing Mi Morena, he grins and goes, "I'm feeling goofy tonight, I'm sorry I..." and starts dancing around. Then some random fan hands him a Goofy soft toy and he goes, "It's Goofy! Coz I'm feeling goofy! What a *coinkcidence*!" Hee. It was so cute. :)

Anyway, I just watched The Pianist and I thought it was pretty good, although it was quite slow at times. I didn't really like the bittersweet ending, though. I like these kinda films coz they're accurate portrayals of the war, and yet, not too gory for my liking. I'm looking forward to and dreading Schindler's List at the same time coz it's pretty um...harsh. Sadistic. Bloody. It has been on my computer since forever but I haven't watched it coz I don't really dare watch it on my own. I'm a scaredy-cat. I've always hated horror flicks. And Schindler's List portrays the uh...horrors of war. Yeah. So when are you guys planning to watch it anyway?

    <lj:music>Il Divo - Heroe</lj:music>

Okay, so I went to watch Wallace and Gromit today, and I gotta admit that I was kinda disppointed. The plot was quite solid, but most of the movie was rather slow, and it only started speeding up towards the end of it. It didn't help that this old guy beside me kept sighing (that kind of "I'm so bloody bored. When is this ever going to end?" sigh). It was distracting and it kept reminding me how slow the movie was going. Ah well.

On to other news...

FRANZ FERDINAND IS COMING TO TOOOWWWNNNN!!!!! They're no Sonata Arctica, but I love their sound and I am SO going to their concert! I mean, how many decent bands actually come here anyway? And what are the chances that I'll actually like them enough to fork out money for a concert?? I'm extremely picky and I seriously doubt power metal bands will ever drop by here. So...Franz Ferdinand is more than I could have ever wished for! Ooh, I'm getting excited just thinking about it.

    <lj:music>Josh Groban - My December</lj:music>

I've been staying up till 6am for the past 2 or 3 days and it feels kinda nice. It's peaceful and quiet, no rowdy fights/screams/crying whatsoever. Younger sibs can get really annoying sometimes. I should just be a nocturnal animal. I work better at night anyway.

It's almost confirmed that Henrik Larsson's gonna leave Barca after the world cup and I've been kinda depressed ever since I saw the news. I mean, I always knew it was going to happen, but after actually seeing the article on Aftonbladet, the Swedish newspaper (I can read Swedish! Haha I wish.), the news is really starting to sink in. It just seems more real now, now that it's in black and white. I've only watched him play probably 6 or 7 times, which is really, really pathetic, if you think about it. And now 6 months is all I have left. God knows when I'll get cable. If ever. I wish Channel i hadn't closed down. I know the tv programmes on that channel were really sucky and all, but they used to show Barca matches almost every Sunday morning. And they showed Wuthering Heights.

I don't know if you guys realise it, but we have like only ONE free-to-air channel that shows English dramas/movies whatever?? Channel News Asia doesn't count, and Central doesn't count as well, coz it shows cartoons and indian stuff during the day. So essentially, all those pitiful people out there who don't have cable survive on ONE English channel. Hah. That's really great for the Speak Good English Movement.

I still can't believe there are 2 Chinese channels (channel 8 and U), and only ONE pathetic English one. Maybe I should try brushing up on my Chinese. Hah. I don't think I'll ever be THAT desperate. Plus even when I DO watch Ch dramas, I always read the Eng subs anyway. I don't even bother trying to listen out for the Chinese. No wonder my Chinese never improves.

What animal would you be?
A lion or wolf.

3. Something you want to do in your life.
Be my weird self.

4. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

1)Altaria - Unicorn
2)Yngwie Malmsteen - Rising Force
3)Nightwish - Planet Hell
4)Sonata Arctica - Victoria's Secret
5)Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
6)Youth Group - Forever Young
7)Pearl Jam - Alive

I tag vivisepulture coz she hasn't done both yet. :) And whoever wants to do the song list.

    <lj:music>Nightwish - Ghost Love Score</lj:music>

does my layout look as bad as I think it does? I happen to think so.....but I dont really care. I feel like such a moron grinning stupidly to myself while listening to a henrik larsson interview. gah. but he's just such an awesome player. I really miss watching sweden play. the last time I had a chance to do so was on nov 17th last year(I still remember the exact date. it was such a bloody long time ago). it really sucks living in singapore when you support an obscure team like sweden. there's never EVER anything about them in the local media whatsoever. fortunately for me, and other sweden fans in singapore(I hope?), kind and thoughtful people upload stuff like goals and match highlights on the net. which is cool, of course. but I want to watch FULL games. highlights just dont really capture the essence of the game, for me. well, it's GREAT that they've qualified for wc 06. hopefully, well...just maybe, I'll get cable in time to watch them play all their games in germany. and maybe some friendlies before that as well. is this really just wishful thinking on my part?

anyway, I just found out that new zealand might get as cold as 10 degrees celsius while I'm over there in november. I didnt expect it to be that cold, I thought it would be around 17-20. how wrong I was. well, at least that gives me an excuse to buy winter clothes. :) oh, and I just read through my "to bring" list and realised that I've got to bring stuff like gloves as well. it's so fun shopping for gloves! hm, and I'm prob gonna take lots of pictures over in christchurch as well. heard the scenery there is really beautiful.
