History:
Usually goes by the name Jie Lun or Masahiro, this 21-year-old bartender is half Japanese, half Chinese. After the car accident that took both her parents' lives, Masahiro finished high school and lived off betting in street basket games and being a bartender. He was just starting college. Night classes. Culinary major.
Only a handful of people knew that he could see the future. Sometimes the visions were clear, sometimes they weren't. He more or less accepted it without so many questions -- just a lot of frustration and dream-induced vomiting at nights :)
Personality:
Masahiro is a coward at heart. He's got no power, just speed and brain. The need to survive forced him to finish his games as quickly and cunningly as possible -- before taking hike. He's mostly calm with a cynical sense of humor. He's friendly and takes a lot of things with a grain of salt. While some people might think he's easygoing, the truth is that he just doesn't like to involve himself too deeply with things for fear of 1) not being able to let go, and/or 2) other complications.
End Of The World pretty much ruined his life. It makes him edgy and frustrated and questioning a lot of his choices and destiny in general. His being a wimp doesn't help. The result is a fickle, scared dreamseer who doesn't want to have anything to do with the fate of the world.
Not that he's got any option.
