Conch
Currently, I have my belly button, tragus, industrial, earlobe and above earlobe, cartilage, tongue, and nose pierced. I want to get my conch and have a few questions:
1. How long does it take to fully heal?
2. Can I get it pierced with a hoop instead of a stud or barbell and have it heal correctly?
3. Scale from 1-10, how bad does it hurt?

1) If you could be somebody else for a week, who would you be and why? Either Dita Von Teese or my best friend because they are both insanely beautiful and both people whom I admire and would like to be more like.
2) Your dream job. Erm, a chemist but one who works with things like hairdyes and cosmetics. I'm a nerd 8)
3) Your favourite place to be. With my friends, having fun.
4) What's your personal motto and why? Erm, I don't have a motto but you know that story about life being a ide and the best way to arrive at the end is a bit messed up but grinning? Yeah... well that's kind of my motto. I live my life to have fun, and I doubt I'll be all that pretty by the end of it ;)
5) If somebody was to play the role of you in a movie, who would you want it to be and why? Erm, I'm gonna say Ellen Page because I think she's amazing. I taught the first of a series of computer-based phonics lessons today. Really we're just using Internet games from genki english, but im going into a lot of detail with what phonics is, and why it's worth us doing it. The explanation's pretty complicated so it's not something that can be explained in "English with gestures", so im teaching everything in Japanese with power-point screenshots and pictures to help. normally i totally cut all grammar or technical explanation (Actually i don't believe in teaching grammar in language classes) but here i think it's worthwhile. It went really really well, with a good reception all round so im pretty pleased. One down, many many to go!  ( + 1 ) (1

SO I got my nose pierced, and I think I got the keloid.
lol.. make it sound like a contagious desease. Anyway, I just invested in some tee tree oil and wanna know if that was the right thing to do. I did salt water soaks and whatnot to start out with, but it didnt work and what not.

I had my first piano lesson today.
I guess it's yet another testament to what i didn't learn in school, because im starting right at square one. Actually it's kinda easier that way anyway, as not understanding the English either, i don't have to re-learn the technical words in Japanese. I went well though - music and singing are certainly not my strong points, but we're doing a little vocal training too, so it'll be interesting next year to see whether or not my kill 'ya Gran singing voice improves at all. This might be a dumb question, but I'm curious.
I'm going to get my nose repierced tomorrow and the job I'm at right now doesn't really allowe facial piercings at all. SO, I'm wondering if it's absolutely ridiculous to ask my piercer to put a clear retainer in it right away.
And if she won't do it, would I be an absolute moron for buying one myself and putting it in when I get home? If I'm totally in the wrong and it will some how screw up my nose bad, I have no problem taking the heat from my store for the next few months while it heals, I just want to know if it's possible. Raquel Reed. She's just so pretty and has the kick ass-est job. Her life looks fun.

3) Your favourite place to be.
The beach. I love everything about the ocean and the sand. Just everything about it. It's my home and my life.
4) What's your personal motto and why?
I have two mottos that I go by that fit hand and hand with each other. "The animosity is gone" and "I have broken my hold". I used to have a lot of anger management problems, due to things that happened in my past. At one point in my life, I was sick of being angry all the time, and let go of all of those nasty feelings.
5) If somebody was to play the role of you in a movie, who would you want it to be and why?
Ellen Paige. She's a very gifted actress and I feel like her and I are similar in certain ways. She's very down to earth and I love it. (burn me ) |

Everybody's doing it! 1) If you could be somebody else for a week, who would you be and why? I would LOVE to be Poison Ivy from The Cramps. She knows the music business just by research and experience. Not only that, but she plays a mean guitar, has a great attitude, great fashion sense and can wear high heels (something I'm uncapable of doing). 2) Your dream job. I would love to work at a huge and successful carnival, complete with a sideshow attraction! Just the traveling alone would be wonderful. 3) Your favourite place to be. Amongst good friends and my love. 4) What's your personal motto and why? "I make up my own ways of life." Not everyone is going to do the same things in their life. We have to make the most out of what life gives us, because we don't know what's going to happen from one day to the next. 5) If somebody was to play the role of you in a movie, who would you want it to be and why? Thora Birch, and that reason is the movie Ghost World. I don't really know where I "fit in" with everyone, but the difference between me and the character Enid in Ghost World is that I'm comfortable with being an oddball in society. I wouldn't want to be someone rich or famous; what if I liked it a great deal and then had to give it all up in a few days? I really can't think of who else I would like to be. 1) If you could be somebody else for a week, who would you be and why?
I'd really like to be a guy.. but not for a whole week, I don't think. So probably my best friend, Momo. I'd love to be able to take away the pain her health issues cause her for awhile.
2) Your dream job.
Getting paid for doing nothing? Haha. Marrying rich!, I guess. If I had the opportunity though, it would probably be something like what the peace corps does. I've always wanted to work with kids in third world countries, or in bad situations in general.
3) Your favourite place to be.
Swingsets, asleep in bed, or hanging out with my mama in the kitchen or at the movies.
4) What's your personal motto and why?
Fuck it. Because whatever happens is going to happen whether you like it or not, so quit bitching and deal with it.

My sister is a fishwife in Wonderland... etc etc My middle sister (yes, the one I used to torment as a child) has just spent a day filming for Tim Burton's new Alice in Wonderland. Agreeably, she's a fishwife on the docks (ha ha), all in green and buying crabs with dirt all over her face and hands and fuzzed up hair. This I find entertaining, and I'm glad she got the extra role anywho - good money!! I didn't bother auditioning because my hair is not all one length, neither is it a natural colour as you can tell from my latest userpic (hurrah for Sun-In and Directions), and hers is plain, brown and long and, although she's 8 weeks behind me with her pregnancy, she doesn't show AT ALL, whereas I look like an elephant now lol!!! What I am somewhat jealous of, though not really, is that she met and spoke to Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter and their new baby girl as he came over to show the crabs to them on a visit. Mind you, all she said was 'ugh, stinky fish' to Tim Burton and he replied 'Yes, they are rather' or words to that effect. She'd spent all day saying 'oh those crabs look lovely' and such-like relating to her purchase and they'd got a bit high as fish does when left out after so many takes. I will have to wait till 2010 to see her in all her fish-wife glory lol! Or maybe not... (see below)In other news, I am fat and fit to burst. I want one of those Alien T-shirts with the rubber monster coming out of the belly for Halloween. Does anyone know where I can get one in a large size? Will update some more at some point. Am now officially on Maternity Leave and I can't really go anywhere now as I have that hip problem (SPD) and can't walk more than 10 yards without difficulty but a car to the units and the internet is always an option... I'm going to have to give birth squatting probably as I'm not allowed on my back or in stirrups. Oh joy! With any luck it'll be caesarian and they can fit velcro for the next baby - if there is one...
