i'm a boys' girl with girlie girl tendencies. soft spoken with a witty side. inlove with my 'plus one' cutie nando. anything else you need to know just ask...
my solo show Raveled at thinkspace gallery went smoothly and well, alongside super talents dennis hayes IV and allison sommers in the back project room. the trip was pleasant and mellow, despite having to drive most of the time.
i don't have proper pictures of the pieces, but i've taken some from the gallery before the crowd, which are below... i've uploaded them onto my website as well.
hello! andrew over at thinkspace gallery interviewed me a few days ago, right after i returned from my solo show there, Raveled, from august 8th.
normally i am not fond of interviews, but since i email back and forth with andrew often, i answered them with a bit of comfort and ease... maybe too much? i didn't know it was going to be posted so fast, and on other sites (i saw it on juxtapoz too), so i apologize if it sounds too casual and scattered. oops.
the original version here on their blog if you're interested.. or under the cut below. (thank you, andrew! <3)
+ above photo is of the mural i did in the front entrance of the gallery for the show. i didn't take many photos, but will post some from the show soon...
+ and huge thanks to everyone that came out to the show!! i really can't thank you all enough!! <3<3
i have been working on all kinds of stuff, and what i realize is that i can work for hours and hours, unbeknownst to me and not even nearly get everything done. i did get this done, tho, and i would like some advice... hey guys, i finished this little guy, milo the moth just yesterday. he was awaiting his wings. i painted a plaque that was supposed to serve as a display for him, but couldn't figure out how i would attach it. any ideas? i am thinking it might just not happen. anyway, here are the photos of milo and of the plaque. and here is the plaque: milo is about the size of his siloutte.
