The wierd kid that used to sit slightly to the left-hand side of the group and no-one was ever really sure who invited them along but was certain that someone MUST have, or they wouldn't be there in the first place?

That kid was, for the most part, me.

I don't know if I'm invited, or if I'm even here actually, because sometimes I might appear to be here when I'm really somewhere else for pretty much all of the time.

I do miss being in the group though.

Apparently everyone at the theatre group that Kirsten and I have joined is going to hate me by the end of the production. Thus spake Kate, who is playing Calamity Jane.

It's in a good way though - apparently they're going to hate me because I can sing, act and do a passable facsimile of an American accent. Well, as passable as you're likely to get when you're in Cheshire, I'm sure it's not a patch on anything most of you lot can manage. But then, I expect I have a better British accent that most of you. Maybe even better than Suthainn ;o)

Life continues apace. Work is still - well, work, but it's going well - I'm still doing the whole 'great performance' thing. Even got a call from my boss today to congratulate me on another 'fantastic' mystery shopper result. Can't be bad. Perhaps the way to make me successful at work is to take away all my staff so I have to do everything myself and then I can guarantee it's done well.

Oh, and has anyone out there played Chez Geek? I want to know if it's worth buying.

Well, we've been viewing houses today ...

Found a place we like the look of too ... so that could be a rather grand thing indeed.

Also bought Neverwinter Nights.

I wonder if this is a good thing?

OK, so I've not posted in ... well ... a while ...

In addition to my general lack of online time, my net connection has been ... erratic ... to say the least ... in a 'won't connect no matter what' kind of a way ... of course, the time I get a chance to call the complaints line and so forth, everything suddenly comes back on again ... for 10 minutes, and the support staff tell me that my connection is active and they can't follow up a complaint on that ... joy ...

Well, if it lasts for more than 10 minutes before vanishing into nothingness again, that'll be good ... if not, they'll be getting more calls and letters from me.

Needless to say, I'm not dead, not yet anyway, and I do miss you chaps and chapesses, you know.

Please accept with no obligation, expressed or implied, my best wishes for an environmentally-conscious, socially-responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral, celebration of the winter-solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

I also wish you a fiscally-successful, personally-fulfilling, and medically-uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2006, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make England great (not to imply that England is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only "ENGLAND" in the western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, or sexual preference of the wishes or wishees.

By reading this greeting, you are accepting the following terms: This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable provided that there is no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others, is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first.
