Phooo ranty! All trivial stuff really, but your brain works overtime when all you have to think about is whether or not it would be a good time to put some washing on. Thrilling, I assure you. Anyway, on a lighter note, I am thoroughly enjoying the new series of Rome. I loved the last series, but this new one is on twice a week, with more sexy men (although my last favourite has grown a decidedly ridiculous beard), and with more swearing and distinctly more anal rape. Bonuses lol! My favourite incidence of swearing has been 'By Juno's cunt!'. Excellent! I am still midly freaked out by Caesar Octavian's face. He is really quite terrifying, and resembles that terrifying woman in that make-up remover advert (she is here if you want to see - http://www.lorealparis.co.uk/minisi
I also took advantage of my parents veritable cinema system on Saturday and watched the new War of the Worlds, Elizabethtown and Wedding Crashers. I was impressed by the new War of the Worlds, as I wasn't really expecting too much. I remember adoring the original when i was shown it in the school hall aged about 9, however I unfortunately couldn't remember any of the fine details for this remake to spoil. I also dislike Cruise as an actor, having only ever liked his performance in Collateral. However, the effects were good, and it was quite a good movie. Except for what felt like a slightly rushed ending, that annoying boy at the end, and Dakota Fannings tendency to over-act in parts.
Elizabethtown followed (as it was either this or the remake of Poseidon, erk), and that was pleasant enough. Quite a 'nice' movie, although it did have me going 'what?' for the first 40 minutes. And it had Orlando Bloom, who really can't act for toffee, which was a bit erggg. Oh, and Kirsten 'Plate-face' Dunst, who is amusing enough, with her wangy limbs haha ^-^. I sympathise, co-ordination can prove difficult. Still, kind of amusing, and gentle. With a great soundtrack. Yes. Don't rush out to see it, but it was a nice gentle evening movie.
Last, but not least was Wedding Crashers. Good comedy movie, but then again I would say that as I love Owen Wilson (giant nose and all). Was amusing, predictable and cringeworthy in places, just as one of those movies should be. Still, had me laughing along at midnight, I enjoyed it.
Right I think that's about it for now, can you tell I am a bored girl with a broken computer? Yes. Well. Oh, cosplay plans. There was some kind of talk about Shining *insert required genre* (Wind) cosplay not going ahead? Or something? Kat/Amy/Nia, are you still doing it for masq? Also Nia, I need to talk SotC with you. I saw you were going the natural materials route, so I might go for a cotton (or hopefully something more rustic/exotic) with a handpainted pattern for Mono's dress. Yay, sacrificial robes!

Thinking it might be nice not to have to wait in the holding pen for two hours ^^

Yeah, Amy's right about the Shining lark. I'm holding off my Shining Wind costume until Kat and Amy make theirs. I've got a Shining (Force) costume made already so might wear that as a floor perhaps.
KoF is a Friday floor, but after that, people could put them in the masq. I'm still not sure what to enter really.
MSN me for SoTC pandapyon@hotmail.com ???
Karen isn't going to Ame anymore, so we shall be Colossus-less for now XD Anyway talk more about it on there...and daymmmmn I need to catch up with Top Model!

I'm not sure about the masquerade either, it might be quite nice to not have to sit in the holding pen for 2 hours, as Amy said. Then again, argh! I don't know, what cosplays are you taking?
Also, are you talking about catching up with BNTM? I watched the first episode, on a catch-up on saturday. It was, well, it was dire. Really. I had the opportunity to watch ep 2 (makeovers) yesterday evening, but I got put off by the sheer amount of stupidity and drama that appeared to be happening in the advert. Hmm. I might watch it, I don't know, can I face the horror??
