So I just got over a horrible adware/malware/bullshit infestation on my desktop PC. It took a lot of work to get rid of it but I think I'm in the clear. I had to use about five different programs to rid myself of it, including that tricky HijackThis, but I think I am back in business! I haven't been doing much with the www the past week or so; I've been using my laptop, but mostly to just check email and play FreeCell and Spades, games I haven't played in forever.

I got to say though, I LOVE google. It totally saved my ass. Evrytime I came across a Trojan or Adware thing that I couldn't get rid of, I just googled it and found a solution. Thank you google!!

Other than that...what's up with me? Not much. We decided on what we are going to name our baby girl: Raina James. I just adore it! And so does my boyfriend and my mom. In fact, my mom is the one who suggested it. Of course she suggested a bunch of other names first that I just had to reject but Raina stuck. I think it's lovely. And unique enough so that she will be the only one she knows with the name but no so unique that is sounds crazy, you know?

Okay, still browing through the flist here and then I am going to get something to eat and then cap some more Prison Break episodes.

Well, my mom suggested Raina and the middle name is James because I wanted to give my baby my uncle's name...whether it was a boy or a girl. And it sounds so good together! :) The pregnancy is good and I have to see the doc every two weeks now since my due date is approaching in only two months! She moves a lot and everything is fine. So all is well!! :)

aw cute name. is it pronounced rain-a?
viruses are evil, my comp gets them all the time and i can afford stuff like macafee to put on it and blockers stop pop ups which can also be annoying. do you know of good antivirus software that can be downloaded from online?

Um, I did find one cool anti-spyware program that is free to download. It's only a trial though. But during the trial all the functions will work. It's called ewido anti-spyware and it finds all kinda of adware and amlware and stuff. I got rid of a ton of stuff i I had. http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

Raina is lovely. And honestly, you won't regret giving your little girl such a unique name: if she's anything like me she'll thank you for it. Whilst I'm not the only person I know called Ailsa, its still unusual enough to make me feel special. But yes, beautiful name. How long til your due date?

Google and HijackThis saved my ass on more than one occasion. Glad it worked for you too! -- BTW, I think the name is lovely. I'm sure it will suite her well. It brings with it great personality. -- Oh Freecell is an addictive little bugger. I thought once I would go game by game, in order, but it sucked my life away.

A lot of people don't like FreeCell but I sure do. Every game is winnable; it's a matter of formulating a strategy and that's all the fun of it!

I haven't yet responded to your last comment to me - but I do think that the name is absolutely lovely. And I'm so glad to hear that you got yourself free of the problems!! YAY! Wilma had died last week and I had to do a fresh install of her OS and then load all of the other programs..but I didn't have spyware issues. Thank goodness.

Oh, I so know what you've been through...
I've just spend the last two weeks reinstalling my laptop 3 times...
The spyware had completely fucked up my whole installation to the point where it didn't start up nicely!

So I installed windows over the instalation I had, but that didn't work nicely. So backed up everything and eventually just formatted my hdd and reinstalled everything :( Booh, such a big work.

But the spyware is gone, and I've got 2 spyware controllers and a very good anti virus program running now... lol
