New item updates in: Men's/Unisex, Other Finery

Most of the accessories in the shop are embellishments for the body, to be sure; but this week I've added two items that have a practical function as well as form. First, a mind-bogglingly cool pocket watch for the evil Steampunk villain in your life (Dr. Arliss Loveless, eat your heart out!), featuring a spiderweb filigree front cover and windows which reveal the working brass gears inside (visible from the face and back of the watch)!

Also new (sort of new, that is): a vintage black-on-white glass cameo bookmark, ideal for the hard-to-buy-for bookworm.



I made a run of these once before but as often happens with vintage parts, the supply of these particular cameos dried up. These are from a new supplier although how long stock will last is anyone's guess - so I suggest that if you want one, grab one soon!

It´s Lugosi and Spider´s 9th Birthday today and because Lugosi lurves being brushed so much, I gave him an extra special brush today....

this is my greyboy, st. nick. i usually call him nicky, captain greynose, or nick e. fresh. i adopted him at christmastime because i live alone and needed a little buddy. the lady at the shelter was telling me all about what a tough guy he is, and how he's standoffish and all that, but i brought him home anyway. from day one he was a snugglebunny! it's unusual for me to be sitting on the couch without him wedged under me like he's an egg trying to hatch.

he's also CRAZY talkative. some guy told me that russian blues are really chatty, but no one is really sure if nick is one. some say american shorthair, some say blue. who cares? he's handsome, and we're BFF.

oh, he's also missing some teeth (lost before i got him, but he does just fine without). i think it's SO cute. it makes him seem more sensitive or something. he's like the bully who's secretly into opera and ballet. ♥

We had a 3 hour powercut the other evening, so I got my tabbies to pose spookily by torch light (or "flashlight" light in American English!) :)
