Picking up where I left off, I'm going into my last year of high school. I'm the color guard co-captain for my school's marching band this season. That's not impressive considering there's only three other girls in it, but still. I'm a vegetarian and a member of several animal rights organizations. I'm also an advocate of GLBT rights, which are very important to me. My time is typically spent at home babysitting, and thus my life is rather boring. I don't have my license or a job, and there's no chance I'll get either until I'm in college. Not whining, just the truth. The extra time allows me to be introspective more often than most people. Other than spending a lot of time on the internet, I try to live simply. I don't watch much TV (unless it's Hell's Kitchen!) or talk on the phone a lot. My looks are also kept relatively down-to-earth. I'm a "t-shirt and pants" kind of girl (although still "girly"). I usually avoid wearing lots of makeup or coloring my hair because I feel as if it's not the real me, like it's taking away from my identity. So all-in-all, what you see is real. I will never lie about who I am and pretend to be someone I am not, although some parts of my identity I'm not comfortable with yet. I'm typically an introverted, emotional person. I usually don't talk unless someone talks to me. There are a few people who've brought me out of my shell, and have discovered how much of a goofy person I really am. I have an unexpected talent for acting, which is pretty much the only time I can express myself freely around people who are not close friends. Once you get me talking, though, my unique brand of conversation will show. It's a combination of randomness and humor that no friend has ever failed to find entertaining.
