From Huffington Post Live:
At this point it's safe to say Jared Leto will be nominated for an Oscar with his portrayal of a transgender woman living with AIDS during the 1980's in 'The Dallas Buyers Club'. Leto joins HuffPost Live to discuss the film and awards season.sourcei liked his answer and i think he handled it quite alright (although i don't really believe he hasn't heard of the criticism before) i agree with him but i think the real problem is not who plays what role but that trans actors don't get any roles at all, trans oriented or not. also i think it's cute that even famous people get these kinda 'stage fright dreams' lol
Kel Mitchell, the former Nickelodeon teen star who headlined Kenan & Kel with Kenan Thompson, died in 2006. According to the Internet, that is: Back in the pre-Twitter era, an email originating from MySpace was sent around from what was probably Hotmail inbox to Hotmail inbox, circulating the news that Mitchell had passed away at the age of 27.
Since then, of course, it has come to light that Mitchell is alive and well; he makes his presence known through various social media sites and the sporadic press appearance. Mitchell just hasn’t worked with his former co-star—who’s been a regular cast member on Saturday Night Live for 10 years—since their seminal show ended in 2000. Reports quote Mitchell as saying Thompson wants nothing to do with him anymore, but that hasn't stopped online GIF-compiling campaigns from attempting to reunite the beloved duo.But besides these suggestions of a falling-out with Thompson, little has been reported at all about Mitchell’s life in the past decade—a startlingly different story from his former costar, whose work on SNL gets watched and shared by millions almost every weekend
(Thompson went viral yet again this week). Mitchell's disappearance from the public eye has remained a mystery, causing fans and Internet rumor-mongers alike to ask, Whatever happened to Kel from Kenan & Kel?So I decided to ask Kel Mitchell directly.
He spoke to me on the phone from Los Angeles, where he lives.( Read more...Collapse )source

Hugh Jackman is in negotiations to play the villainous pirate Blackbeard in Warner Bros.’ forthcoming Peter Pan origin film “Pan.”
Joe Wright is directing the adventure tale from a script by Jason Fuchs.
WB had gone to Javier Bardem for the role but the actor passed
and the studio pursued Jackman shortly after that.
Jackman had been in discussions for a handful of films before committing to “Pan” including the antagonist in Warner Bros. “The Incredible Mr. Limpet” remake. The origin story revolves around an orphan who is taken to the magical world of Neverland where he becomes a hero to the natives and leads a revolt against the evil pirates.
The idea is that Blackbeard is the film’s main antagonist while Hook would serve as Pan’s close ally before turning bad. Ryan Gosling was someone the studio had looked
at among others for the part.Source
Kate Winslet is looking to possibly sue the parents' rights group Fathers4Justice after the organization revealed it plans to use the Oscar winner in a new campaign.
According to The Daily Mail, the ad in question would feature a photo of the 38-year-old actress with the slogan, "Kate, every child deserves a father this Christmas."
The decision to make the mother of three, who just welcomed a son with third husband Ned Rocknroll, the centerpiece of the ad apparently stems from an interview the Labor Day star gave to Vogue.
"My kids don't go back and forth; none of this 50/50 time with the mums and dads—my children live with me; that is it," she said in the magazine's October issue.
Winslet was referring to daughter Mia, from her first husband Jim Threapleton, and son Joe, from second ex-husband Sam Mendes.( Read more...Collapse )
Harry's headband, though unconventional, really works for us.
One Direction had some really questionable fashion choices in 2013, but you know what? We couldn't imagine it being any other way. Harry's floppy hair has become his signature, so when he started to toy with 'do, fans gave a collective gasp... and then a collective swoony sigh. Way to shake up your style, Styles. The headband, which made its first appearance when the band visited Africa in February for Comic Relief, has taken on many forms.
This was a good year to argue about movies. A lot of films inspired powerful reactions, either positive or negative, among audiences. Some of 2013's movies are destined to be among our all-time favorites, while others will be reviled forever. Here are the 10 best and 10 worst science fiction and fantasy movies of 2013.
In particular, 2013 will remembered as the year Steven Spielberg predicted the death of the blockbuster movie, and people took it seriously. Because this past summer was a discouraging year for fans of huge-budget spectacles: It felt as though we were living in the aftermath of another writer's strike. We could have populated our list of the year's worst genre movies just with summer franchise films. (Unlike the summers of 2011 and 2012, when there were way more big pictures that were either good or great.)
So here are our picks for best and worst movies, which we arrived at after lots and lots of heated debate of our own:( Read more...Collapse )source
