Really Fandom?

Urgh,

I have been a SPN fan for a while, a hesistant member of the fandom. One of the main reasons I dislike the fandom around it is the massive amount of hatred directed towards female characters that are potential love interests for the main characters. It seems like the only reason for the female-directed hatred is no-one could ever come between the brothers epic bromance and no matter how the show-runners write them, young females are universally hated.

So about 4 months ago, I get introduced to the Hawaii 50 fandom. Theres amazing strong female characters who kick ass, are fully developed characters and *gasp* even have the potential to become love interests. And the fandom loves them for it.

Then while looking at ONTD for H50 news, I find this.....



Why fandom, WHY?!?
