I think Em and Ben are my favs...what about you?

I freaking love Queer as Folk. Tonight's episode was so good. Michael and Brian are really, finally gonna be together. And Mel and Lynds are back together. And Hunter came back. And Em and what's-his-face are together. And Ben went ape-shit on that asshole at the candlelight vigil. The whole episode made me cry-in a good way.

There were quite a few things that the characters said that really resonated with me. Like Mel said that she used to think that with faith and hard work things would work out, but that now she feels like that isn't the case. And I have been feeling like that lately, about a lot of issues. And what's-his-face said that the people who use their definition of god and their definition of family and their definition of morals and values are forgetting that this country is everyone's, not just theirs. And that is such a good point. I think that a lot of the problems I have with the right/conservativism (is that even a word?) is their self-righteousness about so many things. The arrogance and assholeness of their attitude that what they think is right for themselves is therefore right for everyone else. I find that my problem is not with people actually holding conservative views so much as it is them trying to force those views on other people, including me (or maybe especially).

I have worked the past four days, which has sucked. Because it really zaps me of energy, being on my feet all day. And having to be friendly and attentive and 'on' for such long periods of time also drains me of energy. But I guess all in all it is a pretty fun job. And I like most of my co-workers. Though we just got a new Ass. Man. (ha!) whose name is also Julia! It sucks to have someone else with the same name. That never happens to me. Ok, maybe only rarely ever happens. And she is ruining the name for me cause now I'm 'the other Julia,' which is sad. Anyhoo.

I think that's it for now. I am seriously gonna update this shizzle more often. (Who exactly am I making this promise to? You, fool)
