Home, Sweet Home (!)

Oh, i want to go back to Spain. England sucks!
It couldn't really be much more depressing - spending a week in Spain to come back home to a week of rain and now illness too. I've been in bed sleeping almost all day feeling like shit, thinking that this time a week ago i was in the middle of Barcelona with loads of mates having such a good time. It's horrible.

Having said that, yesterday was fun (apart from the bloody weather. I almost wore a scarf. In July.).
Susan and i went into Ipswich in the morning. Quite frankly i was impressed that i managed to get up and down to her house before midday, as i hadn't had a spectacular amount of sleep. We went to the cinema first, and watched Madagascar. Perhaps not the wisest decision of the day...
It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't anywhere near as good as i thought it would be, or as good as it looked from the trailer on the Shrek 2 DVD. It was funny in places (its ok, i have a bigger crown...it has a GECKO on it...) but overall, meh. To anyone else who's seen it, did anyone else think that the lion being constantly on speed and jumping all over the place got annoying?

Afterwards the weather seemed to have brightened up a bit, so we went into Ipswich. I felt slightly guilty cos i was having one of those post-holiday 'i've run out of everything and it needs replacing' kind of days where i needed to get a few specific things, and Susan was window shopping more so i felt a bit like i was dragging her around a bit...i hope you didn't mind, honey. I'm sorry!
The plan was to spend some time in the park too afterwards, but the weather was getting cold and cloudy again, threatening to rain on us, and i'd made the fairly stupid choice to get my mum some of the Florida orange drink she likes from M&S cos she's not very well either...except it meant i was carrying four litres of the stuff around cos it was on offer. Stupid.

Then when we got back i had to get my granddad to take me to Tesco on the way home (i'm so fed up of having to get lifts of everyone! I wish i could drive.) so i could get more stuff for mum. So by the time i actually got home, my arms had all but fallen off. Didn't do much in the evening, except discover that i should have stuck to just having my little finger nail pierced, as the new one gets caught on the keyboard when i type. Ah well...

Oh, and has anyone else started watching the Playing It Straight USA on channel four in the mornings? The girl annoys me already!! 'I had a good, small town upbringing. I'm always polite and when someone tells me something, i take it as the truth. I guess i'm kind of gullible!' *she giggles*
Oh god, she's going to do well...
