Explanation.
My downstairs neighborhood, who has been acting Strangely of late, apparently had an episode the other night whereby he screamed profanity and other things about resisting evil and saying threating things Very Loudly and stood in the foyer repeatedly opening and slamming his front door and generally scaring everyone in the building. So the landlords were called as well as the police... I think about six police cars were there by the time it was all said and done. He was taken to the hospital that night, rather forcibly.

I was obliviously off seeing a play and having fun and got the text message posted earlier, AND I WAS IN THE DARK LIKE YOU WERE for a while. (I also had an "All clear" text afterwards, so I did actually come home that night, but Tara was asleep.) But I did enjoy the implication that perhaps it would be better if I personally didn't encounter the police.

Anyway, it is actually all very sad. I think it's frightening that someone can lose their mind that way.
