Basic Info BioMy dad calls me his "daisy sniffing daughter". Mom says I'm her "save the whales" child. I admit I've always been a sort of daydreamer, imagining all the things I'd do and see some day. In my first year of teaching, when I caught wind of the "Lagos" program, my bags were packed long before they offered me a position. Now, half way across the world, living on the Western coast of Africa, I breathe deeply the smell of burning rubbish and hot, raw meat. And my heart is for the market children, with those eyes, "Ma'dam, gimme money."
