| Photos from Amanda's gig at Koko last night ... |
[12 Oct 2008|01:40am] |
|
Sorry for cross posting but thought you might like to see some of them. It was an amazing night; Jason Webley, Zoe Keating, Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman all in the same place! What more could a girl ask for?
You can see the whole gallery here or if you want, you can see just a few here at Flickr.
I'm still sitting here, in Cambridge, waiting from my friend to give birth ... I missed Jason Webley's gig last night and now it looks like the little blighter isn't coming out! More editing I guess!

The Diesel xXx party is happening in London tonight and there's going to be a live stream starting from 9pm GMT. The line-up is in the style of a relay with each artist doing a song with one artist, then another, and that artist then plays with another and so on(hope that makes sense!)
Line-up: 11:20 pm Florence & Pete Doherty 11:25 pm Pete Doherty & The View 11:30 pm The View & Drew McConnell 11:35 pm Drew McConnell & Lethal Bizzle
Plus loads of other great acts.
Could anyone maybe record this stream (preferably the whole thing)?
The link: live.diesel.com/xxx/event/index/location/london
EDIT: Errr, so Peter didn't turn up. Drew did though. He played played bass on a cover Kelly Clarkson's 'Since you been gone' with Mark Ronson on guitar. Then a cover of Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy', with The View which was great apart from Kyle's screechy vocals. Then Drew said he hoped Peter would be here by now so they could a song with him, so he asked the crowd if they should carry on or 'fuck off''. Of course they didn't tell him to fuck off and they played an okay version of 'Fuck Forever'. Finally, Drew played with Lethal Bizzle on 'Police on my back', which was ace.
Phew.

| the end of Oasis? |
[11 Oct 2008|12:24pm] |

I was just listening to Amanda's new CD while doing my homework, and what I thought was a long silence at the end of Oasis is actually a sort of conversation... I cannot make out what is being said though. Has anyone managed to figure it out?

| Pictures of Amanda from Sheffield Carling Academy |
[10 Oct 2008|10:59pm] |
8th October, Sheffield Carling Academy. If you want to use these as they are anywhere, please link back to this post. I have no issues with people making graphics with them. Just don't claim them as your own. Hosted on imageshack (ugh) but it's the only site I'm aware of that does thumbnails so as to save space.
   ( a few more photographs )
Hope you like them. Feedback is very welcome. I was using a very small and simple digital camera so for what I had I feel I managed to get some lovely ones.

Does anyone know what the "yes" written on her chest is all about? I'm curious and have far too much time on my hands.
