Yesterday Maribeth and I decided to go for a walk in this park that's close by. We walked along and I looked down and saw something white in the dirt. "Bones!" I said. So...the next thirty minutes consisted of the two of us sifting through dirt to find a near complete skeleton of some little critter. We found this odd piece that I immediately thought was a hoof, so I said it was probably a baby deer. We knew it was a baby because in the lower jawbones some of the teeth aren't fully grown in. Anyway we find more of the hoof things but we find some with bones inside, and the bones connect to phalanges which made them look more like huge claws. So we're thinking "what has ferocious claws like that but is still this small?!" and I called my mom and told her about what we found and she got all excited and asked us to hurry home. ha. When we got home closer inspection revealed that the claws were indeed hooves, and we had a baby deer. My mom put the bones together properly and she figured it out.

We're going to whiten the bones and put them...somewhere. Also on our walk I found the world's most awesome stick.

Last night Maribeth and Nanner and I gave Avery a bath. After she got out it looked like a bear had melted in the bath tub. She feels so nice a clean though and it's awesome.

This morning I woke up early to feed horses. I did this while wearing size 11 men's rubber rain boots (it is very muddy outside). I fed all of the horses in their stalls and then ventured out into the muddy, muddy back pasture to feed ours. All three of them came at me to get a bite of the hay I was carrying. For a split second I envisioned a newspaper headline, "Girl Gets Eaten Alive by Horses." It was almost scary. Almost.

The nicest thing about living with so many animals is that I always have someone to talk to.

Also I need these earrings.

They are made with rattle snake fangs.

Oh, and the house is sold. As of today.
