So I went to Tennessee yesterday with Maribeth and Nanner and Donovan. We bought a decent amount of fireworks, and then were walking back to the car when I see a dog.

"Look! A dog!" I say.
As we get closer, she stands up starts walking with a severe limp.
I approach the dog, offer my hand for her to sniff, and then drop my fireworks and pet her and tell her everything will be okay. She's extremely thin and covered in cuts and scratches and ticks and is obviously in a lot of pain. Suddenly I'm actually crying because I feel so bad for this dog and Maribeth and I look at Donovan and tell him that we're putting a dog in his car, sorry.

So she is here now and doing alright. We're taking her to the vet tomorrow. She was probably hit by a car. I love her and I wish I could keep her but my dogs don't get along with others. I'm staying down in the cabin with her and keeping an eye on her. I hope she'll be okay. I'm just glad we saved her from starving and freezing on the streets.

Also we didn't shoot off our fireworks! Lame. I think we are doing that today?

Also my spirits have just been dampened, but oh well. I saw this coming. Why do I care?

Also happy 2008.
