i've decided that people are basically killing themselves off by discouraging kids so much about being different or what have you. and we're basically letting it happen. hey, that's cool.
people wouldn't have shit if it wasn't for small groups of people saying "fuck you." why did the pilgrims come to America? they said "fuck the Catholic church..." so many instances like that. look how much good music has come out of that attitude. and it's such a discouraged way to be.
"No, you will fit into our norm and you will be a doctor and make lots of money or you wont be looked at as having a successful life. you will go college or else the world is over. you will learn algebra or else you have no future" blah blah blah. yes, please continue to tell us that the behavior we repeatedly learn about through out history is bad.
so where's our generation's movement? please don't tell me it's 'emo.' ha ha.
we're just going to go no where as a race unless some one comes along soon and says 'fuck this' and i mean all of this. EVERYTHING. i know we've got a thousand subcultures and blah blah blah and that's great, but no one is proving anything anymore. it's sad. or at least boring. i don't want to be part of a generation with no purpose. even if that purpose turns out pointless, at least we'd have had some drive.
