It's been a few years since I've done a comprehensive pet post. I was reminded because
gamesiplay invited her friends-list to share picture of their pets in her comments... but I didn't want to take up the whole comment thread with pictures, so I decided I'd better make my own post. ;)
The DemonThe Demon is my cat. He is the best and the worst cat.

He has one adorable eye and one fucked-up eye, which is kind of like a metaphor for his personality. You've probably never met a cat as mischievous, clever, smug, hilarious, aggravating, ridiculous, and impossible as the Demon.

For example, if you don't pet him or feed him when he wants you to, he'll often climb onto the nearest shelf and begin slowly knocking things off of it with one paw -- breakable things are his favorites -- while staring at you.

Because of him, we had to change all our door handles out for doorknobs; he'd learned how to use the handles. He opens drawers and closets.
He loves bananas and marshmallows. He also loves boxes.

He's about nine now, I guess. Here are some old pictures of him being weird when he will littler.
He still sits like this sometimes.

Here's my sister giving him part of a Fig Newton.

And here's a blurry picture of the time he
stole a newspaper from me and ran away.

A newspaper.
He's a weird cat, I tell you.
CoralineThis is Cora.

Technically, Cora is my other cat, but I think of her as the Demon's cat. She likes the Demon a lot more than she likes me. :P

Actually, she also likes the dog more than she likes me. She does not seem very impressed by humans in general. (Except my mom, whom she climbs all over).

She's still awfully pretty, though. And she was a damn cute kitten!
ReesesReeses is my sister's cat. We've had him longer than any of our other pets; we brought him with us when we moved back to Phoenix from Hawaii in 2002.

He's been a grumpy old man since he was a kitten, though, so nothing has really changed.

Actually, he seems a lot less grumpy ever since I started letting him sleep in my armchair. As long as I don't make him move.
EmberAnd then there's my sister's dog.

My sister is a dog groomer, so Ember's haircut changes all the time. This is the latest one.

And here's another.

And a shorter cut. Giant rawhide bone!

Cats love Ember. She's helped foster kittens more than once.

Ember always gets to dress up for Halloween. For her first Halloween, she was... some kind of rainbow-colored punk kid, I guess?
EDIT: And a fish!Heh, I totally forgot we had a fish. One of my sister's friends gave him to us, along with the tank. He's some kind of algae-eating dude. He still doesn't have a name, as far as I know.

And that's all the indoor pets! Onward to the outdoor guys.
ChickensWe have five chickens now, but I couldn't get pictures of all of them. Here are a couple.

The best chicken has always been Puff. She's about nine, and doesn't lay eggs anymore, but she still follows us all around the yard.

And since I'm posting baby pictures, here's one of the chickens when it was a baby. Don't ask me which one. :P
Jude and JasperMom has four cats who live with her out back. Jude and Jasper are brothers that my sister rescued when they were tiny. Here's Jude.

And here's Jasper keeping some of the chicken eggs warm. :P

Ember raised them, and they both still come running to play with her whenever she comes outside.

Yeah, I don't know which one this is, either.
PantsPants was a stray, but then she started having kittens at our house, so we got her spayed and kept her.

Coraline was one of her babies. :)
JakeJake was also a stray. He's missing pieces from both ears.

He's a pretty good cat, though sometimes he forgets that he's not supposed to bite people. :P
ZiggyAnd of course, our latest addition. :)

Ziggy is Mom's dog. He's about seven months old and quite dog-sized now.

And some older pictures, because god damn, he was one cute puppy.
Ziggy and Mom.

Christmas.

SO. CUTE.

And that's all! Except that we have a friend's corn snake visiting us for a couple of weeks. Here she is:

I'm severely tempted to post pictures of the cornsakes we used to have, but they live with my sister's ex now, so technically they don't count. We took pictures of them when they came to visit a few months ago, though, so there are some
here. :)
We also don't have goats anymore... but I'll sneak in an inconspicuous picture of them anyway, because they were awesome.

And there you have the gigantic pet post. :)
