User Profile

This started as mostly an HP fandom journal (of the Snape-ish bent). When the series ended (and Snape left that distinctive hole in Hogwarts' window), I really did intend to turn to blogging about more interesting and worldly things than fictional characters in a young adult fantasy series (or at the very least to faithfully follow my friends' journals, offering support and bad jokes, engaging in lively debate, and never ever forgetting their birthdays).

But *looks sheepish*...seems like I mostly get up to inanities about sport, tacky art and photomanipulations, crude comic renderings of classic works of literature, the occasional meme or poll, and trying to come up with excuses for why I haven't updated/commented/participated/remembered birthdays. It's a wonder my friends keep me (but I'm glad they do).

I am (still) a proud (if lazy) member of S.N.A.P.E.: the Society for Nonsensical Art Pad Enthusiasts (check out the LJ community at snapeartcontest). My texty & fruity icons were made by the fierce, fabulous and funny stephanie206. My B&W Snape icons are derived from a drawing by the extremely talented sigune. The full drawing can be viewed here. My animated Lego!Snape icons were made by sylvanawood, animator extraordinaire. My f-list is well and truly rife with wit and talent.

My journal is mostly friends-only, although I welcome all to read/look at my talented friends' works and participate in S.N.A.P.E. contests. You are welcome to friend me, if you like. If you do like, I'd love to know why, or at least have you introduce yourself here. I can't promise I'll remember your birthday, but I'd be pleased to meet you.

My parade of rainbow Snapes was drawn in ink and colored in Photoshop and is a flashy attempt to distract myself from the fact that I can't really draw people. My Snape's wardrobe and eyebrow is an homage to the fabulous sigune
