Friends Only.

You can friend me if you think we'd have a lot in common. I'll probably friend you back, as long as your journal is not new or empty and you don't have 1000 "friends"...

If I unfriended you, we probably didn't interact and/or I didn't read your journal.

Hunky Jesus, LOL!

I went to Gay Easter at Dolores Park today and watched the Hunky Jesus contest!

It was so ridiculous and sooooooo much fun! It was hosted by a bunch of drag queens called The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence - basically a bunch of drag queens dressed as nuns in flamoyant and colourful habits, I love it!

HUNKY JESII BEHIND THE CUT!!! )

There was also another Jesus and they asked him what his name was and he deadpanned "the lord", and the sisters were like "uumm, ok?" and the Jesus goes "but most of the time, i go by OOOOOOH LOOOOOOORD!!!"... rotfl, and the crowd roared with laughter.

The whole thing was fantastic. I only felt a pang of guilt when the Jesii looked too biblical and slightly bloody. I was like 'oh god, I'm making fun of jesus, I'm going to hell!!!"...

I'm taking a break from Livejournal for awhile.

I just feel really apathetic to it lately, and I don't have a lot of time to spend on here. Feel free to unfriend me if you like. I may comment here and there, or I may not.

I want to start doing more photo entries and using my camera more. But other than that... I'm cool with all this LJ stuff for the time being.

I'm obsessed with my new ipod.

Hhhmmmmm!!!

I have been on a tofu kick lately (blame Jason! crazy vegetarian!), and this has become my favourite recipe. It is brocolli, mushrooms and zucchini in garlic and chilli sauce, topped with fresh basil. It's already all gone, heheh.

Oh no!

I've never been one to get tattooed. I love the way they look and I'm fascinated by the the really beautiful ones (have you checked out [info]amazing_ink? oh my god), but I've never thought of anything that meant something to me that I would want on my body forever and ever and ever.

I just thought of something.

In The Tarot, the Ten of Cups is the wish card. If it comes up in a spread, it signifies love, happiness, bliss, fulfillment. I have the mythical tarot (based on Greek mythology), and on my deck it has Eros and Psyche finally together at last.

I think it's a beautiful concept. I'm not sure that I want the design that is on my deck. Although, probably, because it's really beautiful and it has the double meaning for me since the asteroids Eros and Psyche are used heavily in astrology. I'm not sure that I want it on my body at all actually. But it's the first time I thought of an idea for a tattoo that I really love and really speaks to me.

If it happens at all, it'll be at least 6 months to a year from now. I have no idea where I would put it. To be honest, I really can't see myself having it ANYWHERE. I mean, it's forever! Forever. But I will think on it. I really, really love the idea. I love it so much. Wow.

Apple Questions!

OK, I am a little frustrated because I am so used to a Windows machine. I need a bit of help!

So what do Apple users recommend for filesharing? I tried installing Limewire, but I can't successfully install it for some reason. Is there something else I can use? I need to get my music collection back! Luckily, I have about 80 songs I put on a thumb drive for Robert... so I have those, and about 20 CD's I used to listen to in my car that I need to load up... but, that is it!

Also, I just downloaded Firefox, I was really hating Safari and it kept crashing on certain sites, which was annoying the shit out of me.

Any recommendations? Tips? I like my new-to-me laptop a lot... I just feel a little... dumb and clueless and unsavvy with it :(

Edit: OMG... loading pages is so much faster with Firefox, wtf. I thought it was because my landlords wireless router didn't like Apple (Logan complains incessantly about the wireless connection here... I never had a problem with my Toshiba)... but Firefox makes it faster! The connection is still patchy and uncooperative with the Apple though...

I am reading this book about the Kennedy family - The Importance of Being Kennedy. It's historical fiction, told from the perspective of a fictional Irish nanny. I'm almost at the end.

So, I decided to google some Kennedy family facts, and to my horror, I didn't realize Kathleen Kennedy died at such a young age! I'm not up to that part in the book.

I'm going to dry my tears and go to bed now. Good night.

OK, so I just resigned up for a Netflix account!

Recommend some movies to me plz!

My all time favourites are: Grease, As Good As It Gets, Gia, The Godfather Trilogy, Goodfellas, Mulholland Drive, Finding Nemo, All About My Mother, Vanilla Sky, Sin City, Chopper, Clerks... So, I pretty much like all kinds of movies. As long as it's well done... clever, funny, heart-wrenching, all of the above, I don't care, as long as it's good! :)

The have tons of yoga and dance aerobic titles that you can watch instantly on your computer -- I am so excited! Wheeeee!

EDIT: I'm about to watch David Lynch's Inland Empire on my pc! I'm so excited! Wheeeeeeeeee!

EDIT 2: OK, ooops... no movie... going to the Mission for post-Carnaval parties!

Sailboats float by like flower petals strewn across the bay. Sunshine blankets me and keeps me warm as the crisp ocean breeze blows through my hair. I'm watching a father and his young son, with chestnut coloured curls, play with a fluorescent green plastic tennis racket, and behind them, children laugh and scream with their dog as they run around and play roly poly down the hill.

Families and couples in love walk along the pier that, from where I'm sitting, seems to take them almost into the middle of the bay.

The backdrop is the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay.

It was a magnificently beautiful day today.

I don't have a lot of time to spend on here at all anymore and I decided to unfriend everyone I didn't manage to connect with or get to know properly. I hope you don't take it personally. I didn't dislike anyone on my friends list and wish you all the best. Cheers.

Please consider writing one word to describe me... just one single word. Leave it in my comments. Then (if you like) post this message on your journal and see how many strange and interesting things people say about you.

I have more pictures, but I don't have an image editor on this PC and they're HYYYUUGE and take forever to upload. Also, they're a little dark.

I had the best buffet I ever had in my life yesterday, lol. Sushi and sashimi up to your eyeballs! It was fantastic!
