open [08 Aug 2005|03:04am] [ music | andre 3000 - pink & blue ] i can't seem to fall asleep. this is very annoying because the weather is so fucking unbearably humid, and doubly annoying because it's night time and there is no actual "heat". like when there is no sun, thus no sunlight. i think the irony pisses me off more than the actual situation. my mom is finally taking a long overdue, extremely well deserved holiday. and no, it's not the kind where you hang around at home and do nothing, or the kind where you take an extended car ride to johor or some other crappy place in malaysia. she's actually taking a plane ride this time. and if i don't remember wrong, the last time she did this was when we went to visit our aunt in NZ. TEN FRIGGIN YEARS AGO. back when they didnt have personal inflight entertainment and there were still smoking/non smoking sections! needless to say, i'm really excited for her. this time she and the gramps are visiting my uncle pete in london, bad timing you say? bloody good timing i say! i mean it's summer, the pound isn't as strong (2.9 leh), free accomodation, free food, woohoo 20 days of vacation! i wish i were going too, but i have to find a job... heh. so enough about me. i've been telling my mom to get out and do stuff while she's there. albeit there are 2 slightly paranoid, constantly bickering old people she has to hang out with, and uncle pete's place is like somewhere in suburbian hell. but seriously, i said to her, go out and have fun. however knowing her, and knowing my grandparents, she's probably going to be confined to the house with the occassional day trip to cornwall or something... sadly i don't actually see her going out and taking the tube by herself. ah heck, what to do. i'm actually entertaining the thought of cooking her a simple going away dinner tomorrow. yeahyeah don't laugh, i know what you're all thinking :) SHUT UP. 4 comments|post comment
